Motor Vehicle Incidents
Police received a call at 9:21 p.m. Monday from a caller reporting a disabled motor vehicle in the center lane near Main Street. The vehicle was towed at the owner’s expense.
Thefts
An employee of Macy’s Department Store at the Square One Mall called at 5:57 p.m. Monday to report that a juvenile employee had passed off $7,801.14 worth of merchandise by placing the items in bags and handing them to a customer. An officer was dispatched to investigate.
A store manager at the T-Mobile store on Broadway called at 10:43 a.m. Monday to report two Apple watches had been stolen. An officer was dispatched for a report.
Complaints
Police received a report at 4:06 p.m. Monday that a white male, roughly 5’7″ with tattoos and wearing a blue jacket, gray hat and scarf was going door to door asking suspicious questions. The party checked in with the station that morning and officers determined the man was a licensed solicitor.
A caller at 1:05 p.m. Monday reported that two Hispanic males with black hoodies had entered the Sears Automotive Center on Broadway. The caller stated one appeared to have a key but still believed the men were not supposed to be there. Mall security were dispatched and determined the two were workers for the building.
Wellness Checks
A caller at 4:03 p.m. Monday reported she was concerned about an elderly woman pulled over on the side of Central Street with her flashers running. An officer performed an area check and found nothing.
