SALEM — The First Year Experience Office at Salem State University inducted sophomore biology major Similoluwa Adetola of Lynn and other second-year students into the Alpha Omega Psi Honor Society. An induction ceremony was held on campus in October, where new members were formally sworn into the society. Members were awarded a certificate and medallion that they may wear as part of their commencement regalia in two years.
Franklin Chilaka, assistant director of the First Year Experience, said “We are proud to be inducting our seventh class of students into Alpha Omega Psi Honor Society. These students demonstrated their commitment to academic success and engagement by completing all requirements of the Emerging Scholars Program by attending bi-weekly meetings, community events, and met the necessary GPA requirement.”
