PEABODY — An East Boston man is expected to be summoned to District Court following a three-car accident that occurred on Lowell Street Monday evening.
Peabody Police Capt. Dennis Bonaiuto said police received a report just before 6 p.m. Monday that indicated two vehicles were reportedly waiting to take a left turn onto Endicott Street when a westbound vehicle, driven by Jeffrey Driscoll, 40, of East Boston, crossed over the lane divide and hit the first vehicle head-on, causing it to back into the vehicle behind it.
Driscoll was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital where his condition is unknown. He received citations for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
The condition of the occupants in the other two cars is also unknown. All three cars had to be towed.
