Multiple callers reported a motor vehicle crash where a car went into a pole at Tedesco and Maple streets at 8:57 a.m. on Tuesday. Responding officers reported three cars were towed, one patient was transported to a hospital, and two patient refusals.
Complaints
A caller reported at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday that a student on Pleasant Street maliciously pulled the fire alarm. A caller, from the same school on Pleasant Street, reported at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday that after the pulled fire alarm, a child was screaming near the exit driveway to the school. By 10:48 a.m., the child was brought back into the school.
A caller reported at 3:46 p.m. on Tuesday that a tree limb on Orchard Street split down the middle. The caller stated it was still attached but it looked like it would fall down with the next wind gust.
A caller reported a verbal argument on Village Street at 5:04 p.m. on Tuesday. She stated that her brother lives with her parents and while on the phone with them she could hear him “yelling” at them. Responding officers reported it was a family matter and everyone calmed down by 5:20 p.m.
A caller reported an intoxicated male was making inappropriate comments to women passing by him on School Street at 8:18 p.m. on Tuesday. He was described as a white male with a beard, in his 30s and wearing a baseball cap and a sweatshirt. Responding officers found him sitting on a chair and took him into protective custody by 8:23 p.m.

Arrest
William A. Silva, 65, homeless, was arrested on Monday at 4:36 p.m. for shoplifting and possession of drugs. He is no longer allowed in the store. Stop & Shop Supermarket employee at 19 Howley St. reported an older white man in a green jacket stole a large bundle of firewood and left on foot. Reporting party said the man has stolen wood from the store more than once. Officer reported checking the area from Caller Street and recovered the merchandise and returned it to Stop & Shop.
Summons
Jill Robinson, 37, of 33 Prospect St., Saugus, was summoned for criminal harassment following a report from a woman from Holten Street who reported her ex-fiance is harassing her and her current fiance via email and Facebook messages on Monday at 6:41 p.m. Party was advised of her restraining order rights and told police she will consider it and possibly go to court tomorrow.

Officers report a green Witch City Taxi Crown Victoria fled the scene of a motor vehicle crash at 16 Andover St. and headed toward the Northshore Mall on Monday at 3:02 p.m. going toward the mall. The company was contacted and the operator was confirmed. Paperwork exchange was assisted by the officers, no injuries or tows.
Caller reports that she was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday at 2:12 p.m. at 310 Lowell St. at Route 128 North. Officer reports the crash was minor and parties exchanged paperwork prior to his arrival.
Animal Control
Report of a dog left inside a vehicle at the Northshore Mall at the Cheesecake Factory with New Hampshire plate 4259291 on Monday at 6:51 p.m. Mall security will check on pet and attempt to notify the owner.
Injured raccoon reported at 4 Packard Road on Tuesday at 8:48 a.m. The animal control officer took the animal to Borash Veterinary Clinic and confirmed there was no exposure to residents.
Loose dog reported at 9 Clement Ave. on Tuesday at 11:48 a.m. Animal control officer reported the pet was returned to the owner.

Caller from 6 Tara Road reported being scammed for $6,500 via telephone on Monday at 7:47 p.m. Officer will document.
Suspicious black Chevrolet pickup parked in the rear of the Trader Joe’s parking lot near the dumpster at 300 Andover St. on Monday at 10:27 p.m. Officer reports the party was looking for discarded Halloween decorations and sent on his way.
Report of a suspicious pickup truck at the Peabody Municipal Light Plant at 201 Warren St. Extension on Monday at 11:52 p.m. in the upper parking lot near the dumpsters possibly looking for scrap. Officer reports he did not take anything from the dumpster and was advised not to do so again and was sent on his way.
Neighbor reported he can see a flashing light and hear an alarm coming from the TD Bank at 10 Main St. on Tuesday at 5:44 p.m. Officer reports the lights are flashing and the alarm is going off, but the doors are secure.
Disabled motor vehicle reported at 2 Andover St. at 91 Endicott St. on Tuesday at 6:13 a.m. Officers pushed the car off to the side of the street and into the Citgo parking lot. Gaeta’s Towing has been notified.
Resident is concerned about the abandoned house at 14 Shillaber St. that might have squatters on Tuesday at 6:28 a.m. Officer reports there is no sign of anyone living there. The neighbors will keep an eye on the house.
Caller reports her neighbors have observed people on Wheeler Street and believes they may have entered cars on Tuesday at 10:05 a.m. Reporting party said her daughter observed someone with a headlamp looking around the street at 3:30 a.m. Caller was told that she should call while unusual behavior is occurring to assist the police in locating the person in question.
Man walked into the police station to report a possible issue with a child custody exchange on Tuesday at 10:41 a.m. The officer advised him to update the custody order. He was also advised to contact the police station if there are any issues with the exchange.
Caller reports loud music in the area of 111 Main St. on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. Officer stated that they were rebuilding the rear steps and radio that the contractors are using is not loud.
Report of an abandoned bike on the Independence Greenway bike path at Prospect Street and Albert Road on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. The bicycle was rusted and missing some parts. The officer brought the bike to the city garage for disposal.
Tree down and blocking the road at 289 Lynn St. on Tuesday at 2:31 p.m. The Department of Public Works was notified and the damaged tree was removed.

A Main Street resident reported to police on Tuesday at 3:34 p.m. that her debit card was used by a relative without her permission.
Police were contacted on Tuesday at 12:46 p.m. about a vehicle break-in that occurred while the owner was in LA Fitness.

A Macy’s sales clerk called police on Tuesday at 12:37 p.m. to report that two women seeking to return purchases were unhappy to be told they needed to show a receipt and threatened to fight the clerk.
