Arrests

Rudy Chavez-Mendez, 19, of 40 High Rock St., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and being in possession of alcohol from an open container at 9:35 p.m. on Thursday.

Tina Hutchins, 48, of 14 Harvard Ave., Saugus, was arrested and charged with possession of a class A drug and possession of a class B drug at 4:39 p.m. on Thursday.

Marin Opacak, of 427 Chatham St., was arrested on warrant charges of credit card fraud under $1,200, receiving stolen property under $1,200 and juror failure to attend at 4:47 p.m. on Thursday.

Burglar alarm reported at 7 Longbow Road on Thursday at 11:02 a.m. Officer reports the front door was unlocked, spoke with homeowner who requested a walk through while family members are enroute.

Fire alarm activated at 1006 Essex Village on Thursday at 6:12 p.m. Call handled by the Lynnfield Fire Department.

Wires down reported at 2 Sigmund St. at 34 Edward Ave. on Thursday at 8:53 a.m.; 5 Willowdale Drive at 9:43 a.m.; at 376 Lowell St. at 11:26 a.m.; Pine Street at 3:45 p.m. 

Caller reported while his truck was being services at the Mobil Station at 596 Salem St. on Thursday at 1:41 p.m. his belongings went missing. Officer took report. 

Suspicious motor vehicle reported parked in front of 50 Fairview Road on Thursday at 2 p.m. The vehicle is running with a man inside, the caller said. Officer checked and the vehicle was gone. 

Report of a suspicious auto at the Lynnfield Middle School at 505 Main St. on Thursday at 9:15 p.m. Officer checked and no vehicle was found. 

Medical Aid 

Ambulance requested for a person with a head injury at 58 Perry Ave. on Thursday at 9:13 a.m. Patient taken to the hospital.

Medical aid requested on Thursday at 4:03 p.m. Patient taken to Salem Hospital. 

Request for an ambulance on Thursday at 8:31 p.m. at 27 Wing Road. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.

A caller reported she was parked in the lot on Pleasant Street when someone hit her car at 2:53 p.m. on Thursday.

Multiple callers reported a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist on Ocean Avenue at 7:20 a.m. on Friday. The cyclist refused a patient transport.

A caller reported a tree took down service on Mohawk Road at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday; trees down with wires on Ticehurst Lane at 7:45 a.m. on Friday; a tree leaning on a pole on Thompson Road at 7:46 a.m. on Friday; a private tree down on Clifton Avenue at 7:55 a.m. on Friday; a large tree limb on wires near Village Street at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday; a tree leaning on all the wires near Pleasant Street at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday; a tree and wires down across Nicholson Street at 8:36 a.m. on Thursday; a tree fell on a caller’s roof on Norman Street at 8:36 a.m. on Thursday. Responding officers reported there was no leak; no power in the area of Circle Street and a huge tree was blocking the road at 4:03 p.m. on Thursday.

A caller reported a low wire across Everett Paine Boulevard at 7:58 a.m. on Thursday; a wire down on a car on May Street at 8:25 a.m. on Thursday; a cracked pole in front of a house on Gallison Avenue at 9:02 a.m. on Thursday; wires on a Rose Avenue home at 9:05 a.m. on Thursday; no power on West Shore Drive at 5:57 p.m. on Thursday.

A caller reported loose bricks from a chimney on Green Street at 10:19 a.m. on Thursday. Responding firefighters reported the site as a “collapse risk” and requested the building department. The captain reported the chimney collapse damaged the vent pipe to the furnace.

A caller reported at 11:11 a.m. on Thursday that he thought someone was in his Clifton Heights Lane home. He stated his caller security system alerted him there two white males in black jackets and jeans carrying plans in his house, which is under construction. He stated it could be contractors but they shouldn’t have a key.

A walk-in reported a “romance scam” at 3:09 p.m. on Thursday. He stated he met a woman on “Google Hangout” who claimed to live in South Boston. She said she was getting a job in Canada and asked for money to help pay for her AirBnB that she rented. He stated he thought it was a scam. The dispatcher advised him not to send her money.

A caller reported at 8:06 p.m. on Thursday that when she returned to her Arnold Terrace home after an hour she noticed things were strewn about in her home and also saw blood on the floor outside the bathroom and into the living room. She stated the doors were locked but there is possible access from the basement. Responding officers reported a significant amount of glass in the driveway but found no larceny or forced entry. They reported it may have been one of the cats.

Summons

Anastasiya Damba, 23, of 30 Apple Road, Apt. 12, Beverly was summoned following a report of a motor vehicle that struck a pedestrian at 3 Prospect St. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

Report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash at Wardhurst Shish Kabob & Steakhouse at 31 Lynnfield St. on Wednesday at 4:42 p.m. Officer reports no injuries, no tow trucks needed and will document. 

Hit and run crash reported on Lake Street on Thursday at 7:38 a.m. 

Motor vehicle crash reported into a house at 101 Lake St. on Thursday at 101 Lake St. Officer reports no injuries, message left for the building inspector.

Minor motor vehicle crash reported on Thursday at 10:03 a.m. at 191 Lowell St. Officer assisted with paperwork exchange.

Motor vehicle crash reported at Descenza Jewelers at 161 Andover St. on Thursday at 10:48 a.m. 

Caller reports a motor vehicle crash at 19 Washington St. on Thursday at 11:35 a.m. Two occupants were taken to Salem Hospital. 

Complaints

Resident of 22 Hancock St. reports a young girl on a neighbor’s porch opening Amazon packages on Wednesday at 3:16 p.m. Officer reports the 11-year-old live at the house and was trying to lift heavy packages into their home. All packages were addressed to her father.

Caller reports he was showing his tan 2002 Toyota Camry to a prospective buyer at 9 North Central St. who stole the vehicle on Wednesday at 5:06 p.m. A be on the lookout was issued. The suspect, whose name was Tony Jackson, was possibly enroute to Haverhill. 

Officer was flagged down at Rousselt International on Allens Lane on Wednesday at 5:28 p.m. for a suspicious man at the gate of the old museum recording the building. Officer reports it’s a TV station.  

Report of a man causing a disturbance at the 7-Eleven parking lot at 79 Lowell St. on Wednesday at 9:25 p.m. Officer reports Chaian Santiago was told not to return to the store. He refused to sign the no trespassing order, the officer said.
