Waleed Alkhuwaylidee, 36, of 9 Grace Road, was arrested and charged with rape and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older at 10:58 a.m. Thursday. 

Robert Trahant, of 5 Gardiner St., was arrested on warrant charges of malicious damage to a motor vehicle, malicious wanton property defacement and violation of a harassment prevention order at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday. 


A report of a motor vehicle crash at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday at AL Prime Energy at 969 Western Ave.; at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday at O’Callaghan Way and Walnut Street; at 6:40 a.m. Thursday at 232 Jenness St.; at 6:44 a.m. Thursday at Blakeley and Walnut streets; at 7:35 a.m. Thursday at Chestnut and Essex streets; at 11:31 a.m. Thursday at Walmart at 780 Lynnway; at 12:36 p.m. Thursday at 300 Broad St.

Accidental 911 recorded panic alarm sounded at Lahey Health Center at 1350 Market St. on Wednesday at 8:02 a.m. Officer confirmed it was an accident. 

Burglar alarm sounded at 5 Todd Lane on Wednesday at 11:25 a.m. Officer reports house appears secure. 

A 911 hangup call was received from Market Street on Wednesday at 9:11 p.m. Officers searched the area and everything was OK.

Vector Security Co. reported a false burglar alarm on Wednesday at 9:54 p.m. at Victoria’s Secret at 710 Market St. 

Burglar alarm reported at 5 Driftwood Lane on Thursday at 12:59 a.m. Officer reports all clear.

Sentry Protection reported a burglar alarm at Sagamore Spring Golf Club at 1287 Main St. on Wednesday at 10:27 p.m. Officer reported a gate was not secure and he secured it.

Security company called in a burglar alarm for the Huckleberry Hill School at 5 Knoll Road on Thursday at 12:33 a.m. Occifer dispatched, all clear. 

Alarm company reported a burglar alarm at the Lynnfield Middle School at 505 Main St. on Thursday at 12:37 a.m. Officer reports all is OK.

Accidental fire alarm reported at 405 Essex Village on Thursday at 6:09 a.m. Lynnfield Fire Department dispatched, all clear.

Security company canceled burglar alarm for 5 Wildewood Drive on Thursday at 6:39 a.m. 

A 911 call for carbon monoxide detectors going off at 21 Crescent Ave. on Thursday at 6:52 a.m.  Officer reports it was accidental.

Accidental burglar alarm reported on Thursday at 6:52 a.m. at 19 Westover Drive. Officer reports all clear.


Walk-in resident of 14 Hidden Valley Road reported his computer was hacked on Wednesday at 11:08 a.m. Officer reports services rendered.

Peabody Municipal Light Plant reports they need assistance with traffic on Wednesday at 11:42 a.m. at 159 Salem St.

Caller reported tree down at 683 Walnut St. and 9 Bluejay Road on Wednesday at 11:27 p.m. Officer checked all of Walnut Street and was unable to locate tree.

Woman called to report she dodged a tree limb on Essex Street, hit curb, and disabled her motor vehicle on Thursday at 3 a.m. Phil’s Towing called and the car was removed. Wires down at 694 Main St. at 1 Saunders Road on Thursday at 3:35 a.m. Caller reported a tree is blocking Saunders and Main streets. Reading Municipal Light is working on it and the Department of Public Works was called to remove tree. 

Disabled auto reported on Thursday at 3:48 a.m. at Route 128 North at Exit 43. Officer dispatched, Gaeta’s Towing contacted. 

Call received for tree overhanging Brook Road, a potential hazard, on Thursday at 4:37 a.m. Officer dispatched and the Department of Public Works was contacted. 

Medical Aid 

Ambulance requested at 26 Bancroft St. on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Peabody.



A caller reported a minor motor vehicle crash at Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street at 8:32 a.m. on Wednesday; on Waldron Street at 3:51 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported his wife was backing out of their Atlantic Avenue driveway and hit another vehicle at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday.


A caller reported at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday that he came home and there was a random vehicle in his Pleasant Street driveway. Responding officers located the car’s owner and the vehicle was moved.

A caller reported at 11:29 a.m. on Wednesday the phone number for their Tioga Way business was cloned and being used in a Social Security scam. She stated her office was getting flooded with people calling in and accusing them of trying to defraud them. Dispatch advised the caller to get in touch with their phone service provider right away.

A caller reported at 4:29 p.m. on Wednesday that they got a call from someone claiming to be a federal agent. They stated to the caller and her husband that a car, registered in the husband’s name, was found on the side of the road with large amounts of drugs in it. The caller stated she was concerned someone was going to come and arrest her husband. The dispatch advised her that it was a scam.

A caller reported at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday that her car alarm was going off. She stated she did not believe it was weather-related, as her alarm has never gone off before. She stated she thought someone was trying to get into her car. Responding officers reported that it didn’t appear the car was entered.

A caller reported at 6:59 a.m. on Thursday that she was upset because when she called in earlier she was told to evacuate because there were down wires all around her home. The dispatcher left a voicemail with the building inspector to check the integrity of the building under where the tree hit; trees and wires down on Tioga Way at 7:05 a.m. on Thursday; a tree down and blocking Amherst Road at Cornell Road at 7:11 a.m. on Thursday; down wires on several vehicles on Ruby Avenue at 7:19 a.m. on Thursday; a pine tree ripped service from a home on Thomas Circle at 7:29 a.m. on Thursday; trees and wires down on Ticehurst Lane at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday.



Heather Ann Hawkes, 43, was summoned following a motor vehicle stop at 79 Russell St. and 2 Stone Drive on Tuesday at 3:40 p.m. 

Nicole M. Hatch, 45, of 29 Downfall Road, Byfield, was summoned on Wednesday at 11:06 a.m. for operating under the influence of drugs, second offense, following a report of a woman who passed out at the Mobil Station at 137 Newbury St. She was taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center motor vehicle stop at 79 Russell St. and 2 Stone Drive on Tuesday at 3:40 p.m. 

Joleen Parisi, 72, was summoned following a motor vehicle stop 109 Lynn St. on Wednesday at 2:10 p.m. for operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.


A two-car motor vehicle crash with airbag deployment was reported at A Mom’s Village at 673 Lowell St. on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Officer will document. 

Report of a motor vehicle crash at Wardhurst Shish Kabob & Steakhouse at 31 Lynnfield St. on Wednesday at 4:42 p.m. Officer reports no injuries, no tow trucks needed and will document. 

Caller reports her motor vehicle was struck at The Jade at 4 Bourbon St. on Wednesday at 6:07 p.m. and the suspect vehicle is a red Cadillac with Massachusetts plate 4468. Officer reports minor damage to the driver’s left side and will check security cameras to see if anything was caught on tape.

Animal Control

Caller from 111 Birch St. is seeking assistance on Wednesday at 9:41 a.m. in finding a new home for her husband’s dog while he is in jail. The animal control officer advised the party that the dogs are his property and she will not be involved in removing them from their homes. It was suggested she contact friends and family to see if anyone would be willing to care for the pets. 

Report of a lost black and white dog named Lola on Wednesday at 2:58 p.m. Animal control officer reports the description fits a dog that was taken to Borash Veterinary Clinic. Caller was advised the city would charge for the unlicensed dog. 


Report of a man in a yellow T-shirt and jeans out of control at the monument in Peabody Square on Tuesday at 7:08 p.m. Officer reports taking two parties, a man and a woman, to 52 Endicott St. 

Disgruntled customer reported causing a disturbance at Bill & Bob’s Roast Beef at 2 Central St. on Tuesday at 11:53 p.m. Officer reports a customer was being disrespectful to an employee and another customer stepped in between the two. The unknown man fled the area in a Toyota Scion towards Salem.

Report of an 11-year-old walking on the side of the road with a scooter and a backpack at 33 Centennial Drive and 7 Summit St. on Wednesday at 12:14 a.m. Officer reports the boy was found and taken home.

Century Bank employee reports a suspicious man with dark skin wearing black pants and a gray hoodie engaging in drug activity in the parking lot on Central Street on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. 

Report of an assault and battery at Stop & Shop at 19 Howley St. on Wednesday at 12:22 p.m. Officer said the woman was pushed to the floor. The suspect is wearing a gray sweater and fled the area. 

Caller from 20n Benevento Circle reported a suspicious man who said he worked for Comcast and told her he was there to see if he can get her lower rates. She said that when she called Comcast, they said no one from the cable company should be walking around the neighborhood.    


Father requested a well-being check on Tuesday at 11 p.m. at The Jade at 4 Bourbon St. because he sounded intoxicated on the telephone and he should be placed in protective custody. Officer reports he left with a friend.
