LYNN — KIPP Academy Lynn schools are offering free breakfast and lunch to all students this school year.
The school has entered into the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program, which is aimed at ensuring no kids go hungry and reduces the stigma of low-income families who may have otherwise had to apply for free meals.
Under the program, which is part of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, all students at KIPP Academy Lynn Elementary and Middle School and KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, can receive a free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their status.
Household applications are not required to receive free meals, but applications may be distributed by the school to collect household income data for other programs that require the information.
