The Lynnfield boys soccer team picked up a Cape Ann League win Tuesday with a 3-0 shutout over Amesbury on the road.
With the win, the Pioneers bumped their record, 6-5, above the .500 mark.
“It was a win we thought we should get,” Pioneers coach Brent Munroe said. “We’re over .500 now, which is nice. Hopefully we can get the nine wins to qualify for states.”
Tommy Buston, Luke Martinho and Tommy Hauser each netted one goal. Goalie Dante Gesamondo recorded three saves for his fourth shutout of the season.
Lynnfield hosts Ipswich Thursday (3:45) at Pioneer Stadium.

Classical 40, Malden 32
At Mount Hood, the Rams improved to 9-5 on the season with the victory.
Classical’s top performers were Luke Rao, Adam Mariano, Daniel Finnigan and Jared Defillipo, who won his first varsity match.
The Rams host Salem Thursday (4).

The Spartans can still win the CCL outright with a victory Thursday (3) at Archbishop Williams.

At Salem Country Club, St. John’s top performers were Aidan LeBlanc (35 points), Robbie Forti (37), Brandon Farrin (38), Emmet Phelan (39), Alex Landry (40), Matt Remley (42) and Conor O’Holleran (42).
The Eagles take on Concord-Carlisle at Concord Country Club Wednesday (3).
Salem 40 ½, Somerville 31 ½
Salem’s top performers were Joe Parr, Brady Tremblay, Jayren Romero and Jon Wasserman, who all won their matches.
Salem (7-5) travels to Classical Thursday (4).
FIELD HOCKEY
Fenwick 3, Hamilton-Wenham 0
Grace Morey, Emily McPhail and Cailyn Wesley each netted one goal in the non-conference win. Wesley logged two assists and Paige Littlehale dished one assist.
Goalies Abby Booth (four saves) and Cat Elias (one save) split time in net.
Fenwick (7-1) travels to Medfield Wednesday (3:45).
VOLLEYBALL

Set scores were 25-20, 25-19, 23-25 and 25-13.
KK Carrasquillo logged 11 kills and four aces. Nani Merced recorded 11 aces and 11 kills.
