Efrain Diaz, 59, of 12

Lynnmere Ave., was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, shoplifting by asportation and disorderly conduct at 9:53 p.m. Monday.

Accidental burglar alarm sounded on the left side gym door at Lynnfield High School at 275 Essex St. on Monday at 10:58 a.m. Officer reports sports practice and contractors working in the gym.

Front door burglar alarm accidentally sounded at 69 Locksley Road on Monday at 3:45 p.m.

Burglar alarm set off at 35 Edward Ave. on Monday at 4:17 p.m. Officer reports all appears secure. 

Lynnfield High School at 275 Essex St. had an accidental burglar alarm sound on Monday 5:06 p.m. Officer reports practice is going on at the school.

Alarm sounded at the Lynnfield Middle School at 505 Main St. on Tuesday at 5:32 a.m. Officer reports all appears secure. 


Caller reported cars parked on both sides of Wing Road making the road impassable on Monday at 11:10 a.m. Officer checked and found all cars parked legally and the road is passable. 

Resident on Huckleberry Road reports the smell of gas outside on Monday at 4:10 p.m. Lynnfield Fire Department reports the smell was chemicals, not gas. 

Medical Aid 

Call for an ambulance for a resident who fell and struck her head and is experiencing right hip pain at Sunrise Assisted Living at 55 Salem St. on Monday at 9:05 a.m. Patient taken to the hospital. 

Medical aid requested at 1 Central Road on Monday at 1:42 p.m. for a person suffering from nausea and weakness. Patient taken to the hospital.

Request for an ambulance at 22 Fletcher Road on Monday at 9:05 p.m. Patient refused medical attention.

Medical aid requested at 2 Ashdale Road on Monday at 11:37 p.m. Patient was taken to the hospital.



A walk-in reported at 9:06 a.m. on Monday that his vehicle was hit overnight on Mount Vernon Street.

A walk-in reported at 9:31 a.m. on Monday that his vehicle was hit twice on Atlantic Avenue.


A caller reported at 10:54 a.m. on Monday that someone’s car wheel fell off on Pleasant Street and was causing traffic problems. By 11:59 a.m., the towing company had the vehicle.

A caller reported a neighbor dispute regarding parking on Hillside Avenue at 12:35 p.m. on Monday.

A walk-in reported at 1:53 p.m. on Monday that she purchased tickets online for what she thought was a $300 deal. She stated she ended up getting charged $1,700.

A Starbucks employee on Pleasant Street called at 7:03 p.m. to report that kids were going around shutting the power off from the alley behind the building. He stated it was an ongoing problem, even after catching a kid recently and speaking to his parent. Responding officers reported the kids left prior to their arrival.

A caller reported kids on mini-bikes riding through the park near Wyman Road at 7:13 p.m. on Monday. They stated the kids were ripping up the tennis courts. Responding officers were unable to locate them. 



Santos J. Morales Jr., 24, of 6 Fisher Lane, Apt. 6, Lynn, was arrested for disorderly conduct following a report of a possibly intoxicated man in the driveway at 55 Castle Circle on Sunday at 10:04 p.m. Officer reports the callers took the car keys away from the operator. Phil’s Towing en route.


Caller reported he was struck in the crosswalk at Washington and Clement streets while on his scooter on Sunday at 7:18 p.m. and is experiencing hip pain.  

Report of a motor vehicle crash on Monday at 9:39 a.m. at the Speedway at 545 Lowell St. Owner of motor vehicle one contacted AAA and the car was towed by Gaeta’s Towing. Officer reports the operator of the second vehicle was taken to Beverly Hospital by Atlantic Ambulance. 

Animal Control

Animal control officer sent  license application and a warning for an unlicensed dog, Molly, to Scott Jepson, 6 Packard Road. The pet is vaccinated against rabies. 


Suspicious moped was reported on Sunday at 4:09 p.m. that has been parked on the sidewalk at Pine and Lake streets since 6 a.m. Caller suspects the vehicle might be abandoned or stolen. Officer checked the registration 170855 and no records came up. The Department of Public Works picked up the moped and brought it to the police station.

Report of several teenagers between Pierpont, Washington and Sewall streets on Sunday at 6:03 p.m. and impeding traffic. Officer checked the area but the kids were gone.

Unruly patient reported at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center at 1 Essex Center Drive on Sunday at 6:59 p.m. Officer reports the patient calmed down.

Two juveniles reported being harassed and followed on Sunday at 7:33 p.m. by a black man operating a light blue Cadillac. Officer spoke with the girls but they didn’t have any further information, such as a license plate number. 

Caller from 15 Bourbon St. reported tenants in Apt. 71 are making loud banging noises on Sunday at 8:22 p.m. Officer spoke to both parties and all is OK.

Intoxicated person reported sleeping in the lobby of the Holiday Inn at One Newbury St. on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Officer requested an ambulance for the person who was taken to Union Hospital by Atlantic Ambulance.

Disturbance reported at 30 Holton St. and 30 Shaws Lane on Monday at 2:23 a.m. Caller said a woman is screaming, and it’s possibly coming from a white triple-decker in the neighborhood. Officer reports the woman was on the sidewalk who said she was having a verbal domestic argument. She was taken to Salem, officer will document. 

Resident of 5 Laurel St. reported an unknown man is on the property on Monday at 8:18 a.m. He is described as a Hispanic man wearing a sweatshirt, carrying a bag and scissors. Officer spoke with the man who was going through the trash, looking for scrap metal. No further action needed.

A city of Peabody employee reported there are two people in a kayak in Spring Pond and must be removed on Monday at 10:07 a.m. Officer checked the area and the parties were gone. 

Caller reports there are suspicious people on his property at 5 Canterbury Drive on Monday at 11:53 a.m. He said two women and a man may be taking pictures of the home. Officer checked the area and found no one.  



A report of a motor vehicle accident at Broadway and Essex Street at 9:34 a.m. Monday; at Square One Mall on Broadway at 10:32 a.m. Monday; at 36 Main St. at 5 p.m. Monday; at 283 Main St. at 5:25 p.m. Monday; at 114 Broadway at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday. 


A report of a man sitting in the median of Route 1 near Essex Landing at 10:01 a.m. Monday.

An employee from Sherman Williams called to report a man purchased a five-gallon bucket of paint and may have spilled it on Route 1 earlier today at 2:43 p.m. Monday. 

A caller reported an MBTA bus with “call police” written on its destination window driving on Main Street towards Route 1 at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. MBTA police report it was most likely an accidental message and they will contact their buses in the area to check on their safety and contact Saugus Police if they need assistance. An area search was performed but the bus was not located. 


A caller reported her Craftsmen snowblower was stolen from her backyard sometime over the weekend on Hargraves Court at 9:24 a.m. Monday. 



A report of suspicious activity at 30 Phillips St. at 5:59 a.m. on Monday.

A report of a disturbance on Hemenway Road at 7:43 p.m. on Monday; at 330 Paradise Road at 9:09 p.m. on Monday.

A report of a noise complaint at 14 Claremont Terrace at 11:31 p.m. on Monday.
