LYNN — A 43-year-old man was shot in the leg in his Harwood Avenue apartment early Monday morning, but is expected to survive, police said.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on the second floor of 36 Harwood St. The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The man was shot inside the residence, but numerous shell casings were recovered outside. There were other people home at the time, but police were told that nobody witnessed the shooting, Kmiec said.
No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation.
