Complaints
A walk-in reported at 8:39 a.m. on Wednesday that a car nearly struck another car head on while texting and driving near Beacon Street and Gingerbread Hill Road. She stated she yelled at the driver and tried following him. She provided the dispatcher with a vehicle description.
A caller reported at 9:28 a.m. on Wednesday that a Toyota SUV, operated by a younger male, was driving on Humphrey Street at a high rate of speed while crossing the double yellow lines. Responding officers were unable to locate the described vehicle.
A caller from a school on Village Street reported at 11:02 a.m. on Wednesday that a student fled the school and ran down the tracks. By 11:18 a.m., the student was located and brought back to class.
A walk-in reported at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday that she received a grandparent scam phone call. She stated her bank stopped her from sending money.

Report of an unoccupied motorcycle that was struck on Tuesday at 8:35 p.m. at 751 Lowell St. Officer said a motor vehicle with Massachusetts license plate 4SL963 is in the area with front end damage. Officer spoke to the operator who was sent on his way.
Caller reports he was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 95 North at Exit 45 on Wednesday at 9:37 a.m. and fears the other operator is now having a panic attack. Officer reports the trailer was damaged and left. Owner was instructed to call the Massachusetts State Police and notify them of the trailer.
Officer assisted operators of motor vehicles with exchanging their information involving a car crash at Trader Joe’s at 300 Andover St. on Wednesday at 3:08 p.m.
Animal Control
EMS requested an officer to assist with an injured snapping turtle causing a traffic hazard at 4 Prospect and 2 Wheatland streets on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. Officer wrapped the animal in a blanket and took it to Borash Veterinary Clinic.

A 41-year-old Lynn man was placed into protective custody following a well-being check for a man who was passed out at Joyce Road and Curtis Street on Tuesday at 4:55 p.m. Officer reports Narcan was used and he refused to go to the hospital.
Caller reports that the vehicle in front of him at 137 Lowell and 91 Endicott streets was side swiping and brake checking him on Tuesday at 5:43 p.m. Both vehicles got on to Route 128 South. The call was transferred to the Massachusetts State Police.
Resident of 766 Lowell St. reports his medication was taken to Chelsea from his truck on Tuesday at 6:25 p.m. Man was told to make the report with the Chelsea Police Department.
Homeowner from 7 Hancock St. reported his neighbor’s spotlight is shining onto his property on Tuesday at 6:43 p.m. Officer reports the light was readjusted at 12 Sherman St. but the neighbor is still not happy.
The Peabody Fire Department reports a possible abandoned vehicle on Hotel Road on Tuesday at 7:06 p.m. Officer said the vehicle missed the ramp and tried to drive over the median and got stuck. There is no one with the vehicle. Four Star Towing said they are busy and suggested they call Gaeta’s Towing. They too reported being busy but will arrive in 20 minutes.
Custodian of West Memorial School at 15 Bow St. reported he is locked in the building and 30-40 parents are outside accusing him of trying to run over a child on Tuesday at 7:07 p.m. Officer will document, parents left and report will be forwarded to the school resource officer.
Resident at 17 Bresnahan St. called to report concern about her neighbor’s well being after hearing an unusual noise coming from his residence about 40-45 minutes ago on Tuesday at 11:31 p.m. The officer spoke with the neighbor at 19 Bresnahan St. who said he was OK.
