LYNN — A 33-year-old Lynn man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Whiting Street apartment and threatening a woman with a gun Sunday night, police said.
Luckese Richards, of 4 Kingsley Terrace, was charged with home invasion, intimidation of a witness, armed assault in a dwelling and on warrants for Class B drug distribution and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., police responded to 81 Whiting St. and were told by a 56-year-old woman that an armed black man had forced his way into the apartment, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Richards was allegedly looking for a man who wasn’t home at the time and when the woman said she was going to call the police, he allegedly pointed a gun at her, Kmiec said.
Police identified the suspect as Richards through surveillance video and found him at his Kingsley Terrace apartment, where he was arrested, Kmiec said.
Authorities executed a search warrant at the residence to look for the gun used in the home invasion. Officers weren’t able to find the gun, but seized a replica BB gun and some pills, Kmiec said.
