PEABODY — On Saturday, the Black Box Theater, 22 Foster St., hosts three different comedy shows, at 6, 8 and 10 p.m.
Comedians Yael Gavish and Matt Kona, who are married to each other, organized this evening of comedy.
The 6 p.m. show, “Where are you REALLY from?” is a comedy showcase of comedians who live in Massachusetts. This showcase has had successful runs at Cambridge’s ImprovBoston for many years and has spawned a spinoff podcast.
At 8 p.m., Gavish presents her one-woman show, “Israeli Wonder,” an hour-long performance of jokes, stories and comedic songs about her journey as a 15-year-old standup comedian performing in Israel before journeying to the United States to pursue her dream.
At 10 p.m., Rowley native Kona presents “Comedy X2,” a showcase featuring many comedians from the North Shore and Boston paired up on stage to perform avant-garde variations of standup, sketch and improv comedy.
Tickets are available for shows individually.
