SALEM — The absence of two jurors on Monday resulted in a brief postponement in the trial of a man accused of committing a double shooting in Lynn on Easter Sunday two years ago.
William Cash, 46, of Lynn, is facing life without the possibility of parole for a shooting that left 46-year-old Lenardo “Lenny” Clement dead and seriously injured his friend, Prince Belin. He has pleaded not guilty and his trial started in Essex Superior Court last Thursday.
Proceedings did not take place on Monday because two jurors were unable to attend — one juror had a death in the family and another one was not feeling well. The trial is expected to resume on Tuesday at 9 a.m., according to Carrie Kimball, spokeswoman for the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
