What’s open, what’s closed for Labor Day

In observance of Labor Day, The Daily Item will not have an edition on Monday Sept. 2. Publication will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.

 

Open

Retail, liquor, supermarkets, convenience stores, taverns and bars are open.

Closed

Banks, municipal, state, federal offices, libraries and schools. 

Also: post offices are closed, express delivery only.

Trash: One day delay schedule.

MBTA: Subways, buses, and commuter rail on Sunday schedule. 

The Ride will run on a Sunday schedule. For more information, call 617-222-3200.

Boston traffic rules: Meters not in effect. All other parking rules apply.
