A resident reported through a Facebook message to the police department at 7:49 a.m. on Thursday that there was anti-Semitic graffiti left on the play structure at Seaside Park on Wyman Road. By 1:22 p.m., the Parks and Recreation Department removed all graffiti.
A caller reported at 7:54 a.m. on Thursday that he “almost lost his life” on Sewall Street after a truck came down the newly paved road going 100 mph. He gave the dispatch a partial plate number.
A caller reported a social security scam call at 10:57 a.m. on Thursday. He stated they told him there was suspicious activity on his social security card and if he didn’t call back, the police would “get him.”
A caller reported at 6:55 p.m. on Thursday that two SUVs pulled up on Hawthorne Road with teenagers inside and they were smoking pot. Responding officers reported there was no inappropriate behavior at all and they just finished up a run and were talking to each other.

Joseph R. Barbarisi, 45, of 28 Pulaski St. was arrested on Thursday at 10:05 following a motor vehicle stop at 2 Pulaski and 2 North Central streets for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and no inspection sticker. The vehicle was towed by Mallia’s Towing.

Animal Control
Caller reported a dog in a car panting at TJ Maxx at 300 Andover St. on Wednesday at 4:35 p.m. Officers spoke with the owner and the dogs were fine.
Report of a stray German Shepherd on Judith Road on Thursday at 10:11 a.m. Animal control officer reports the dog lives at 33 Tumelty Road and was returned to the owner, Daniell Tango, who was issued a warning about the dog, Sophie. Later, at 1:45 p.m., a $75 ticket was issued to Tango at 33 Tumelty Road for the unlicensed/unvaccinated Sophie, who was last licensed in 2013, and her last known rabies vaccination expired in 2014.
Report from Mobile Estates at 286 Newbury St. on Thursday at 1:17 p.m. about the dog from lot 111 which blocks the park’s road. Animal control officer left a message saying she cannot force the dog owner to restrain the pet, the park’s roads are private property. She was advised her to report the complaint to park manager. Requested callback for info on dog’s owners.

Resident of 116 Foster St. called 911 to report someone is using her parking space but she is in the process of moving on Wednesday at 5:29 p.m. Caller was advised she should report such matters to the landlord, parking complaints are not an emergency.
Caller at 63 Margin St. reports hearing a child’s voice screaming but couldn’t tell where it was coming from on Wednesday at 8:49 p.m. Officer attempted to speak with the reporting party but there was no answer at the door.
Report of a woman trying to get into her car and may be impaired at 660 Lowell and 4 Lake streets on Wednesday at 8:56 p.m. Officer reports woman was not feeling well and was to be picked up by a friend.

Reports of underage drinking at Northend Street on Thursday at 12:20 a.m. Officer reports all in order. Another call about teen drinking came at 12:46 a.m. from a concerned boyfriend. Officer reports no underage drinking, the man who called was having a verbal dispute with his girlfriend and tried reporting that they were at a party with minors drinking. But all is in order and officer will document.
Resident of 15 Bourbon St., Apt. 63 reported his mother wandered off on Thursday at 5:37 a.m. Officer reports the woman was found in the front hallway looking through mail.
A warrant for Christopher Burke was entered Thursday at 9:09 a.m. into the National Crime Information Center, a central database for tracking crime-related information, for Assistant District Attorney Mary Alice Doyle. He can be extradited in New England states only.
Caller reports her pocket book stolen from vehicle while making a delivery at Haven From Hunger at 71 Wallis St. on Thursday at 10:46 a.m.
Hampton Inn at 59 Newbury St. reported a guest was smoking in the room and is disputing the charge on Thursday at 11:10 a.m. Officer said the disagreement is a civil court matter between the guest and the hotel.
Security at TJ Maxx at 300Andover St. reported a past shoplifting on Thursday at 1:12 p.m. Officer said on Aug. 16 and 18, an unknown woman walked into the store and stole 12 bags valued at $100 each.
