LYNN — A man has died after falling from a sixth floor balcony at the Ocean Shores Apartments Friday night.
First responders arrived to 50 Lynnway at 5:17 p.m. to find the unidentified man face down on the ground, according to Lynn Fire Capt. Joseph Zukas. They assessed the man, observed his severe injuries, and made the call not to transfer him to an area hospital, he said.
“Our goal is always to try and work someone if we can, but from what I’m being told by the first responders who were at the scene is the injuries were extremely severe,” said Zukas. “They taped off the area and turned it into a crime scene.”
The incident is now being investigated by the Lynn Police Department, he said. They are unsure if the fall was accidental or if foul play was involved, Zukas added.
