LYNN — A bicyclist was hospitalized with serious leg injuries after he collided with a truck at Oxford and Buffum streets on Thursday afternoon, police and fire officials said.
The 48-year-old man, who police did not identify, was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with a broken leg, according to Lynn Police Lt. Larry Wentzell.
He was lying on the ground when authorities arrived and his bike was nearby, according to Lynn Fire Capt. Joseph Zukas.
Wentzell said the truck driver, a 27-year-old man, was on Buffum Street and the bicyclist was coming down Oxford when the two collided.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. No citations have been issued.
