LYNN — Two people were arrested after they were found with heroin, fentanyl and a variety of prescription pills on Tuesday night, police said.
Marcelo Cruz, 32, of Lynn, was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl.
Cynthia Rubin, 40, of Topsfield was charged with Class B and C drug possession.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious car parked for awhile at Mount Vernon and Rockland streets. Police allegedly found about 12 grams of heroin or fentanyl in Cruz’s pocket and Xanax and other pills were found on Rubin, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Rubin, the driver, was also charged for possession of drugs that were found in the trunk, including Seroquel, Amphetamine and Xanax. The drugs and $102 in cash was seized, Kmiec said.
