Arrests 

Gary Churchill, 53, of 76 Sheridan St., was arrested and charged with two counts of violation of a harassment prevention order at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday. 

Rebecca Kennedy, 25, of 374 Chatham St., was arrested and charged with Class A drug possession at 10:49 p.m. Monday. 

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 7:52 p.m. Monday at Essex and Washington streets; at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday at 858 Lynnfield St. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 11:54 p.m. Monday at 330 Lynnway; at 7:09 a.m. Tuesday at 534 Essex St. 

Assaults 

A report of an assault and battery at 12 a.m. Tuesday at BayRidge Hospital on Granite Street.

Accident

Motor vehicle crash reported at 771 Salem St. and 462 South Broadway on Monday at 9:44 a.m. Officer reports no injuries. 

Alarms

Fire alarm sounded at 746 Summer St. on Tuesday at 5:37 a.m. Call referred to the Lynnfield Fire Department. 

Complaints 

Caller reported a suspicious man is sitting on the ground next to a vehicle on Market Street on Monday at 9:33 p.m. Officer reports the man is making a telephone call.

Report of a motor vehicle fire on Monday at 1:55 p.m. at 1014 Main St. at 17 Merrow Road. Call handled by the

Lynnfield Fire Department. 

Woman from 2 Knoll Road walked into the police station on Monday at 4:52 p.m. and wanted to speak with an officer about harassment she had received by her significant other. Report taken.

Call to 911 about an erratic speeding driver on Essex Street on Monday at 7:44 p.m. Officer unable to locate the vehicle.

Resident from 29 Pine Hill Road reported someone rang their doorbell on Monday at 10:05 p.m. but no one was outside. Officer checked the area and the report was  unfounded.

Caller from 56 Ledge Road reports a jeep is parked on her property and a group of kids ran into the woods on Tuesday at 12:04 a.m. Officer reports a group of adults were out for a walk, everything checked out OK and they have been sent on their way.

Suspicious auto reported at 190 Summer St. on Tuesday at 5:01 a.m. Officer reports the vehicle belongs to a college student who is swapping cars at this home. 

MARBLEHEAD

Accidents

A caller reported a minor motor vehicle crash involving an elderly person at Lafayette and Maple streets at 10:05 a.m. on Monday.

A report of a minor fender bender crash at Atlantic Avenue and Drumlin Road at 4:07 p.m. on Monday.

Complaints

A caller reported a skunk with a yogurt cup on its head on Village Street at 8:25 a.m. on Monday. The animal control officer responded and took it off.

A caller reported at 12:38 p.m. on Monday that it looks like a bird was trapped inside an abandoned house on Green Street. Animal Control responded and reported the back door of the home was kicked in and open, which is how the bird got in. They cracked a window so the bird could escape.

A caller reported at 12:42 p.m. on Monday there were three cars parked in the wrong direction on Homestead Road. She stated safety concerns and noted how “parents forget that the street is still a two-way street.” She stated she wanted officers to be aware this happens every day during the school year.

A caller reported at 8:07 p.m. on Monday that her son was out of control. When officers responded to their Broughton Road home, the mother stated it was a disagreement over the use of his Playstation on a school night.

A caller reported a man sleeping in a vehicle on Pleasant Street at 10:41 p.m. on Monday. Responding officers reported the man left the area prior to arrival but when they located him, he stated he fell asleep after drinking milk.

NAHANT

Complaints

A caller reported people possibly adrift on a raft off of Short Beach at 6:32 p.m. Monday. 

A caller on Nahant Road near Forty Steps Beach reported a “homeless-looking” individual who walked off the beach and is looking into parked motor vehicles at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday. 

A caller reported she found some bones on Tudor Beach that she believes to be a child’s tibia and fibula at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday. Police brought the bones back to the station for identification. They were identified as bones from a seagull. 

A caller from Tom’s Taxi reported one of his drivers was involved in an altercation with a suspect who appeared drunk and attempted to get in his taxi at 11:52 p.m. Friday. The suspect allegedly became belligerent when he was told there was already a passenger.

A caller reported he ran his boat up onto the rocks near Forty Steps Beach at 12:31 a.m. Saturday. At 6:13 a.m. Saturday, police report they located the boat off of Spouting Horn Road and it is taking on water and might not make it until the return of the owner. The harbormaster was called. 

Theft

A caller on Nahant Road reported a safe was stolen the night before at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday. 

PEABODY 

Arrest

John M. Galvin, 28, of 37 Parrott St., Lynn, was arrested on Sunday at 8:08 p.m. following a report of a disturbance at 14 Jacobs St. Apt. 1 and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, threat to commit a crime, and malicious destruction of property in excess of $1,200.

Summons

Clayton Rodrigues, 28, was  summoned following a motor vehicle stop at Bridge and Andover streets on Sunday at 9:50 p.m. for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a red light violation. Officer reports vehicle was picked up on scene by the registered owner.

Christian Lopez Merida, 21, of 63 Laurel St., Lynn, was summoned on Sunday at 10:02 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Endicott Street for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

James Joseph Owen Jr., 47, of 59 Rockland Ave., Malden, was summoned on Monday at 8:36 a.m. following a report of a past possible check fraud at Building Supplies Outlet Inc. at 20 Webster St. and charged with larceny by check over $1,200, uttering, and forged check.

Accidents

Report of a motor vehicle crash on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. at 37 Andover St. Officer reports no injuries and one vehicle was towed by Mallia’s Towing.

Motor vehicle crash reported at 2 Forest and 220 Lowell streets on Sunday at 4:02 p.m. Officer reports very minor damage, and assisted with the paperwork exchange.

Report of a motor vehicle crash on Sunday at 4:41 p.m. at 200 Lake and 20 Newbury streets. Officer reports no injuries and assisted parties with paperwork exchange.

Animal Control

Report of two dogs without collars found at 65 Russell St. on Monday at 9:10 a.m. Animal control officer reports the owner showed up and claimed dogs.

Caller from 35 Griffin Road left a voicemail reporting she found a small dog. No answer on callback and left message requesting status of dog on Monday at 9:24 a.m.

Complaints 

Resident of 20 Pleasant St. reports having an issue with her neighbor at 18 Pleasant on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. Officer reports resident at 18 was upset over music. Officer will document.

Caller reports being locked in at the Meadow Golf Pro Shop at 20 Pleasant St. on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. Officers were unable to open the gate and parties will leave the car there until tomorrow.

Resident of 3 Oak St. is upset that a group of 5- to 8-year-olds are outside playing and screaming on Sunday at 9:07 p.m. Officer located the children, they appeared OK and officer asked them to keep it down for the night.

Resident of 9 Batchelder Ave. reports he punctured the gas line while digging on Monday at 10:44 p.m. Gas company notified. Capt. Bonaiuto said a National Grid employee on Spring Street notified the utility company about the break. Peabody Fire Department arrived and shut off the gas main and electricity to the house.

Arrest

Travis Allard, 40, homeless, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B drug, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, fugitive from justice, and arrestee furnish a false identification to law enforcement.

An 11-year-old child was struck by a vehicle while on his bicycle at 5:59 p.m. Saturday.

A report of counterfeiting at Dunkin Donuts at 11:56 a.m. Thursday.

A suspicious man was reportedly looking inside a mailbox at 122 Winter St. at 2:11 p.m. Thursday. Police report the man has permission to look into the mailbox. 

An elderly woman was reportedly wandering in the parking lot and in need of a well being check at Bob’s Store on Broadway at 2:59 p.m. Thursday. 

A caller on Jasper Street reported her housekeeper stole $100 worth of Shaws gift cards at 5:58 p.m. Thursday. 

A 911 caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot of WoodSpring Suites on Broadway at 12:50 a.m. Friday. The green pickup truck had a mattress in the back. 

A caller reported an elderly man with a shovel and metal detector walking around Riverside Cemetery at 4:19 p.m. Friday.

A report of a breaking and entering at Saugus High School at 9:54 p.m. Saturday. A woman was located inside the school. She was transported to North Shore Medical Center. 

A report of an assault on Walden Pond Avenue at 12:44 p.m. Sunday. 

A report of an assault and battery at Border Cafe at 5:24 p.m. Sunday.

A caller said he witnessed several pieces of wood siding fly off the back of a truck on Route 1 north and land in the middle lane near Kowloon Restaurant at 9:47 a.m. Monday.
