A caller reported at 2:14 p.m. on Tuesday that the guy who is preparing Gilbert Heights for paving is blowing all the debris into the Ocean Avenue boat lot. They stated cars drove by and beeped at the man, yelling for the man to stop. The caller went over and asked the man to stop but they were told to mind their business.
A walk-in turned in his father’s gun for destruction at 2:39 p.m. on Tuesday.
A caller reported at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday that he wanted to file a complaint against his Winthrop Avenue neighbor for swearing at his son. The dispatch officer advised the caller swearing is not a crime. The caller stated he wanted to file a complaint against the neighbor for harassment.
A caller reported at 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday that a shoplifter on Pleasant Street stole a sandwich and it was on video.
A walk-in reported at 6:36 p.m. on Tuesday that someone banged on his Longview Drive door the night before around midnight. They stated the car also pulled in front of the house, angled the car toward the house, and then turned on their lights.

Animal Control
Animal control officer reports Gus, a domestic short-haired black and white cat owned by Kate Stephens of 39 Nancy Ave., is serving a 10-day quarantine.
A resident of Peabody House at 18 Walnut St. reports her cat died on Monday at 10:25 a.m. She was told the animal control officer does not transport civilians or dispose of deceased pets. She was directed to make other arrangements.
Woman came to the station to complain about an unrestrained dog at 110 Lowell St. on Monday at 11:24 a.m. She said it stands on the edge of the raised yard and barks at her when she walks by. She fears it will leave the property and go after her. Woman was told dogs are not required to be restrained on their property. She was advised to avoid the area if she felt uncomfortable. She also said the owner always walks the dog off leash. She was told a citation warning would be mailed.
On Monday at 3:25 p.m. a caller reported two dogs from 14 Fairview Ave. were loose again on Friday. It’s an ongoing issue with the dog owner. Dogs are still unlicensed, despite receiving several warnings. Animal control officer sent a $100 ticket, copy of the leash law, citation letter, an order to license within seven days, and a license application to Laurie Riccardi, 14 Fairview Ave.

Report of two men walking up Endicott Street, one has a green backpack with what appears to be a rifle sticking out on Monday at 2:34 p.m. Officer checked Endicott Street and surrounding area but did not find the men.
Caller reports a child left alone in a motor vehicle in the parking lot at Shaws Supermarket at 210 Andover St. on Monday at 3:01 p.m. The officer said the vehicle left the area prior to the arrival of police.
Northshore Mall security reported someone sleeping inside a vehicle at Barnes & Noble at 210 Andover St. on Monday at 3:09 p.m. Officer said the operator was tired from the sun and was taking a nap. He was sent on his way.
Police received an email complaint about a trailer on Pleasant Street on Monday at 3:31 p.m. that has been there for days blocking the driveway and sticking out into the street. Officer reports the vehicle is registered to the home and is blocking its own driveway.
Reports of a van blocking a garage on Spring Street Court on Monday at 3:56 p.m. Officer reports van ticketed and moved prior to tow and owner was told not to park there.
Caller reports an unknown person is in her driveway and banging on the door at 323 Lowell St. on Monday at 8:07 p.m. Officers checked the vehicle and it belongs to the cleaning company the reporting party hired.
Anonymous caller reports teenagers are smoking marijuana behind Boston Bounce on Webster Street on Monday at 8:59 a.m. and it has been going on for several nights. Officer reports youths were sent on their way.
