Lynnway rollover crash shuts down traffic, sends three people to the hospital

LYNN — State Police are investigating a single-car rollover crash on the Lynnway that sent three people to the hospital on Saturday night. 

Police responded to the crash at 780 Lynnway shortly before 9 p.m. and found a car on its roof. 

All three occupants, an 18-year-old female driver from Marblehead and two passengers, an 18-year-old Marblehead woman and 19-year-old Swampscott man, were able to get out of the car and were treated for minor injuries, state police said. 

The crash temporarily shut down all lanes northbound on the roadway by Walmart while crews cleaned up, state police said. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation and no charges have been filed, state police said.
