LYNN — A 28-year-old Lynn man was arrested on Thursday following a months-long investigation where he allegedly sold heroin and fentanyl to undercover officers, police said.
Sterling Melo, of 7 Holland Ave., was charged with three counts each of trafficking more than 10 grams grams of fentanyl and Class A drug distribution.
Melo was arrested following a joint investigation by State Police and the Lynn Police Drug Task Force, which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at his apartment Thursday morning, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Police seized cash and drug paraphernalia, but no drugs were at the residence. The charges stem from heroin and fentanyl purchases officers allegedly made from Melo over several months, Kmiec said.
