August 14, 2019 by the-editors

The Lynn Democratic City Committee (LDCC) recently hosted its annual family cookout and food drive that was held at the Lynn Museum, an event that brought together many families, friends and elected officials for an afternoon of enjoyable conversation and delicious food among its more than 220 attendees. The LDCC is equally pleased to announce the receipt of non-perishable food items that were donated to a local food pantry along with monetary contributions that will benefit My Brother’s Table.

We were pleased to welcome Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin, Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair Gus Bickford, Governor’s Councilors Terry Kennedy and Eileen Duff, Sheriff Kevin Coppinger, our State Legislative Delegation, Representatives Dan Cahill (representing U.S. Senator Ed Markey), Peter Capano & Lori Ehrlich, and representatives for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, both of whom are seeking the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

Also in attendance was candidate for the U.S. Senate Shannon Liss-Riordan and candidates for the 6th Congressional District Jamie Zahlaway Belsito, Angus McQuilken and Lisa Peterson and many local elected officials and candidates for municipal office, Democratic State Committee members and Town Committee Chairs representing many communities throughout our Congressional District

The LDCC wishes to thank the people and businesses that helped make the Cookout and Food Drive such an enormous success. Thank you to the many LDCC members and friends who donated food and volunteered their time and effort and to all who attended.

Sincere thanks to District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, Register of Deeds John O’Brien, Lynn Museum staff, Brother’s Deli of Lynn, Capitol Diner, Christopher’s Café, Lazy Dog Sports Bar, Old Neighborhood Foods, Mandees Pizza, Old Tyme Italian Cuisine, Rolly’s Tavern on the Square, and Lynn Democratic State Committee Members, Mayor Tom McGee, LDCC Chair Agnes Ricko, former State Representatives Bob Fennell and Steve Walsh, Laurie Walsh, and Elizabeth Gervacio for their gracious and generous support.

Everyone’s effort is much appreciated. On behalf of the LDCC, thank you and we hope to see you again next year!

The LDCC Officers
