Cody Whitney, of 33 Waverly St., was arrested on warrant charges of daytime breaking and entering for a felony, attempt to commit crime and miscellaneous municipal ordinance violation at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Security company reported burglar alarm sounded at Lynnfield High School at 275 Essex St. on Wednesday at 8:14 p.m. Officer reports all is secure.

A 911 hang up call was received from 10 Newhall Road on Wednesday at 9:14 p.m. Officer reports everything OK.

Burglar alarm sounded at 17 Tedford Lane on Wednesday at 9:50 p.m. Officer reports all is OK.

False burglar alarm reported at 306 Summer St. on Wednesday at 10:25 p.m.    


Suspicious red pickup truck with New Hampshire plates reported parked for several days at William Raveis Real Estate on Wednesday at 9:35 a.m. Officer advised caller it is a civil matter to be settled in court.

 Damage to mailbox reported at 2 Wymon Way on Wednesday at 1:18 p.m. Officer took report.

Report of a landscaping trailer blocking the road in front of 15 Walnut St. on Wednesday at 2:25 p.m. Officer reports vehicle is legally parked and road is passable. 

Employee of the U.S. Post Office at 598 Salem St. reported a man wearing a black shirt with the New England Patriots logo, black and gray shorts, and sunglasses facing backwards videotaping staff on Wednesday at 3:53 p.m. 

Caller reported girl with a tire iron is smashing a car at

Lynnfield Commons at 375 North Broadway on Wednesday at 6:50 p.m. Officer took report.

Medical Aid

Ambulance requested on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at 506 Salem St. for a person with hip pain. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.

Request for an ambulance from 5 Village Row on Wednesday at 11:54. Patient taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Ambulance request for an accident with a chainsaw at 32 Bishops Lane on Wednesday at 2:04 p.m. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.



A report of a motor vehicle crash at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday on Atlantic Avenue.


A house was reportedly struck by lightning at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday on Arrowhead Road. Police responded and reported the house did not appear to be hit. 

A tree reportedly fell on a car causing injuries at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday on Pleasant Street.



Lorraine Sousa, 29, was summoned on Wednesday at 9:12 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop at 106 Central St. for operating a vehicle with an expired license. Vehicle was towed to her home by Mallia’s Towing.


Motor vehicle crash reported on Wednesday at 8:21 a.m. at 30 Andover St. and 1 Hilltop Drive. Officer reports no injuries, one vehicle towed by Mallia’s Towing. 

Two-car crash reported on Wednesday at 1:13 p.m. at Newbury Motors at 222 Newbury St. Officer reports no injuries or tows. 

Animal Control  

Caller from Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates at 2 Essex Center Drive reported a dog left alone in a car with the windows down on Wednesday at 10:51 a.m. Animal control officer checked the area and the car was gone.

Report of a loose dog on Winthrop Street on Wednesday at 1:56 p.m. Animal control officer reports dog reunited with owner, Daniela Zomosa, from 3 Harris St., who was given a warning. 


Officer flagged down at 72 Central St. on Wednesday at 9:27 a.m. about two young children who may have been left at home alone. Officer confirmed a 3- and 5-year-old left alone. Sergeant reports there was an adult cousin sleeping. The kids did leave the apartment and officer will file a 51a, a reporting of suspected abuse or neglect.

JRM Hauling & Recycling truck reported disabled at 51 Andover St. and 2 Andover Drive on Wednesday at 9:36 a.m. leaking fluid and requesting a sander. G&J Towing and Department of Public Works en route.



Shaquilla M. Rivera, 25, of 3939 Washington St., Roslindale, was arrested on warrant charges.

A caller reported a dog locked in a car at Trader Joe’s at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday. 

A caller reported a tree down on wires at 19 Pemberly Drive at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday. 

A report of wires down in the roadway at Greenwood Avenue and Ballard Street at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday; at 29 Sunnyside Ave. at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday; at Vine Street and Davis Court at 5:01 p.m. Wednesday; at 11 Hammersmith Drive at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday; at 11 Juliette Road at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday; at Harrison Avenue and Sherman Street at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday; at 25 Garfield Ave. at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday.

A tree reportedly fell and took down wires at Vine Street and Davis Court at 5:01 p.m. Wednesday. 

A report of a party with possible underage drinking on Pearson Street at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday. 

A Thomas Street resident reported what he believes was two to three gunshots approximately five minutes ago at 1:27 a.m. Thursday.
