My Brother’s Table hosts fundraising Summer Party

LYNN — My Brother’s Table is hosting its annual Summer Party on August 8th at Spinelli’s of Lynnfield.

The fundraiser will be catered by some of the best restaurants on the North Shore including The Blue Ox, Mission on the Bay, Tides Restaurant & Pub, John’s Roast Beef & Seafood, Old Tyme Italian Cuisine, Periwinkles Food Shoppe, Maria’s Gourmet, Fantasy Island, Eat Well Kitchen and Edible Arrangements.

Spinelli’s provides a beautiful lakeside setting for this special event.  The evening also includes musical entertainment, a wine cellar raffle as well as a silent auction including Red Sox and theater tickets, private wine tastings, gift certificates, and more.

Tickets to the Summer Party are $65 per person and are available for purchase online or by calling 781-595-3224. Limited tickets will be available at the door.

The Summer Party is My Brother’s Table’s largest annual fundraiser. The organization does not receive any government support and needs to raise its entire budget through fundraising. The Summer Party is crucial to those efforts. This year the event will be sponsored by Eastern Bank, Salem Five Bank, Santander Bank, and Eaton Vance Management.

My Brother’s Table is the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore and has been nourishing its neighbors since 1982. Hunger and poverty continue to persist in Lynn and across the country, especially in expensive housing markets like the North Shore. Many guests of the Table struggle to afford rent and food and one-third of the guests rely on the organization as their only source of daily nourishment. It serves hot meals 365 days a year with genuine hospitality and love for all. In addition to serving meals onsite, My Brother’s Table also delivers meals to home-bound individuals, provides food packages to young families and families with disabled children, provides meals to at-risk seniors, to homeless people in the local recuperative care center, and hosts a free weekly medical clinic.
