John Garofalo, 45, of 34 Dyer Ave., Everett, was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on warrant charges of two counts of operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, shoplifting by asportation, uninsured motor vehicle/trailer, failure to stop for police and failure to stop/yield at 3:23 p.m. Friday.

A motor vehicle crash was reported at 12:46 a.m. Sunday at Atlantic Avenue and Greystone Road. A car reportedly crashed into a parked vehicle. The driver, Janina Levitsky, 68, was taken to Salem Hospital and arrested for OUI liquor.

Complaints
A caller reported at 9:51 a.m. Friday she has mice and rats coming onto her property from the area of Broughton Road under the fence. She said she has had exterminators come and deal with the issue on her property, but wanted the property owner to resolve the issue. The caller was told it was town property managed by the housing authority and was given a number to call.
A report of lottery fraud at 2:07 p.m. Friday on Farrell Court. A woman reported a company called her and said she had won the lottery and wanted her to deposit a check into her account.
A report of annoying phone calls at 2:56 p.m. Friday on Atlantic Avenue. A caller reported she got a threatening call from someone claiming to be the IRS, who told her police were coming to arrest her. She was told it was a spam phone call and as long as she didn’t give any information, she had nothing to worry about.
A caller reported a group of kids were skidding around on their bikes and damaging the tennis courts at 5:20 p.m. Friday on Wyman Road. An officer reported the kids were moved and he didn’t see any damage.
A white pickup was reportedly doing doughnuts in the residential lot at 7:32 p.m. Friday on Ocean Avenue.
The assistant harbormaster reported finding a black backpack with two phones and clothes inside floating in the harbor at 2:50 p.m. Saturday.

A report of suspicious activity at 5:20 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble at 210B Andover St. A caller reported her daughter walked to the bookstore and was told by another patron that a man in a Honda Civic was taking photos of her.
Suspicious activity was reported at 6:40 p.m. Thursday at 12 Arnold Ave. A caller reported he had some opened mail on Tuesday. Neighbors told him they saw an older man in a blue Toyota going through his mail and the mail of a neighbor. Police reported there was no way to ID the person.
A report of suspicious activity at 10:10 p.m. Thursday at 30 Margin St. A first floor caller reported someone banged on her left side, front window. The person was gone before the caller could look outside.
Suspicious activity was reported at 2:29 a.m. Friday at 104 Bartholomew St. A caller reported a man was wandering back and forth in the street. Police reported the person was returned to his family.
A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 9:11 a.m. Friday on Bragg Street. A caller reported a black Ford Escape occupied by a woman was parked for a long period of time. Police reported the vehicle appeared to be for a cleaning company.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 8:48 a.m. Friday at 56 Pierpont St. A caller reported hearing a popping noise shortly before 1:30 a.m. and when she went outside later that morning, she found her rear passenger side window had been smashed. The vehicle was parked on the street.
Vandalism was reported at 9:50 a.m. Friday at 7 Calumet St. A caller reported her boyfriend’s car was damaged. Police reported a window was broken sometime overnight.
