LYNN — The Beyond Walls Street Art Festival begins Monday, and Saturday afternoon many volunteers joined the “Be a Part of the Art” Lynn cleanup day. All recyclable trash collected will be donated to Portuguese artist Bordalo II, who will use it to create one of his renowned large-scale Big Trash Animals sculptures.

The international roster of artists started arriving Sunday night, and after a few days of getting acclimated to the area are expected to start creating their murals and other forms of street art.

The festival runs through August 3, with many events scheduled, including a festive Rock the Block party on the final night.
