Joel Anaya, 47, of 473 Essex St., was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon at 11:52 p.m. on Thursday.

Jordy Mata, 20, of 6 Richard St., was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession to distribute a class drug, a number plate violation, possession of an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer, and possession of an unregistered motor vehicle at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.

False burglar alarm at the Huckleberry Hill School on Knoll Street on Thursday at 5:55 p.m. 


Caller from 10 Witham St. reported things are missing. Officer reports party required an ambulance but the Lynnfield Fire Department reports the patient refused on Thursday at 9:34 a.m.

Officer reports the Department of Public Works said they contracted with employees of the department to have a portion of Main Street be closed but no detail has arrived as of Thursday at 10:15 a.m. 

Caller reported someone sleeping in their vehicle at the Boston Sports Club at 425 Walnut St. on Thursday at 12:32 p.m. Officer reports party is taking a nap before work. 

Medical Aid

Ambulance requested at Sagamore Spring Golf Club at 1287 Main St. on Thursday at 8:08 a.m. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. 



A walk-in reported at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday that she was driving down Atlantic Avenue when she heard a loud bang and her side view mirror “exploded.” She stated the only truck nearby was a Verizon truck and his mirror was pulled in and not damaged. She stated she felt her truck was targeted because it has a “Trump” sticker and an “NRA” sticker on it.

A caller reported at 7:27 p.m. on Thursday that they witnessed a woman hit a car on Essex Street while trying to parallel park and then she drove off.


A caller reported at 10:19 a.m. on Thursday that a boat in Marblehead Harbor capsized and there was a child in the water with a life jacket who was unable to get the sail up. The harbormaster arrived at 10:25 a.m. and assisted the child back into the boat.

A walk-in reported at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday that he noticed some unusual activity on his cell phone recently. He stated he got a video that he perceived to be a threat.

Multiple calls reported a power outage at Humphrey and Pleasant streets at 12:47 p.m. on Thursday. A transformer sparked and the lights went out, including the traffic lights. A crew arrived to the scene at 12:57 p.m. and began working on the wire that was on the ground. By 2:34 p.m., all traffic lights were working again.

A caller reported there was a lady trying to take the plates off his motor vehicle with a pair of pliers on Green Street at 2:34 p.m. on Thursday.

A walk-in reported at 7:12 p.m. on Thursday that vandalism was done to his car while it was parked in front of The Landing on Front Street. 

A caller reported hearing two or three gunshots on Broughton Road at 9:33 p.m. on Thursday. State Police arrived on scene to help investigate.



Michael Rompa, 43, of 8 Elliott Place, Apt. 1, was summoned on Wednesday at 9:18 at 4 Woodlawn Ave. and charged with threat to commit a crime and violation of a restraining order. 

James Varelas, 63, of 7 Bragg St., was arrested at the Down River Ice Cream at 86 Andover St. on Thursday at 2:34 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Rithy Seang, 35, was summoned on Thursday at 10:59 a.m. at Big Y Plaza at 637 Lowell St. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Jennifer L. Tighe, 35, of 99 Main St., Apt. 2, Woburn, was summoned on Thursday at 11:52 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.


Motor vehicle crash reported at Microsurgical Eye Consultants at 31 Centennial Drive on Wednesday at 5:18 p.m. One operator refused medical attention. Private tow arranged.  

Report of a motor vehicle crash at Subway at 532 Lowell St. on Wednesday at 8:29 p.m. Officer reports no injuries, very minor damage, and assisted with paperwork exchange. 


Suspicious man reported hitting himself and acting weird at the Welch Elementary School on Swampscott Avenue on Wednesday at 3:25 p.m. Party was taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Caller reports hearing an alarm in the area of Southwick Road on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m., could be a pool alarm. Officer reports he could not hear anything on Southwick and headed to Emerson Street to see if he could hear the sound from that area. Area checked, nothing showing, no audible alarms heard.

Caller from 42 Downing Road reports $300-$400 stolen from his house on Wednesday at 7:22 p.m. Officer will document.

Report of a tree that fell and damaged a car at C&C Lobster on Lynn Street on Wednesday at 7:34 p.m. Officer reports the Forestry Department removed some of the limb and coned off the rest of the area. They will return in the morning to finish the removal.

Catholic Charities at 13 Pulaski St. reports a white man with blue and white plaid shirt and khakis is drunk and wearing a  holster, not sure if holding a weapon on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Officer reports the knife was confiscated from the party. 

Neighbor reports the resident of 13 Keys Drive, Apt. 5 is banging on the walls and ceiling, and often involved with yelling at other residents and staff on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. Officer spoke to parties.

An unwanted guest reported at 4 Evergreen Way on Thursday at 5:01 a.m. Caller reported he brought a woman home from King’s Inn in Revere and now she won’t leave. Officer reports party left without incident.

A report of a large tree limb down on Central Street at 11:20 a.m. Thursday. 

A caller reported a car with Rhode Island plates parked on Pearson Street with a man sitting inside it since 8 a.m. at 12:44 p.m. Thursday. 

A report of wires down on Broadway at 7:35 p.m. Thursday. 

A caller reported loud banging noises between her house and her neighbor’s house on Henry Street at 11:55 p.m. Thursday. 


A caller reported an Amazon package was stolen off his porch at 12:45 p.m. Thursday. 

A report of  shoplifting at Broadway at 6:41 p.m. Thursday.
