Heather Donlan was arrested on warrant charges of operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license and uttering a false prescription at 9:28 p.m. Tuesday. 

Alex Duverge, 27, was arrested on a warrant charge of trespassing at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday. 

Darlene Murphy, 50, of 14 Cobb Lane, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and marked lanes violation at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. 

Aaron Mwankuga, of 78 Central Ave., was arrested on warrant charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and shoplifting by concealing merchandise at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. 

Taylore Spring was arrested on a warrant charge of assault and battery at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday. 


A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 1:27 p.m. Tuesday at 92 Broadway; at 4:31 p.m. Tuesday at 294 Eastern Ave.; at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday at 15 Harris Road.

A report of an assault at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday on Commercial Street.

A report of motor vehicle vandalism at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Friend and Silsbee streets; at 3:58 a.m. Wednesday at 29 Linden St. 



Burglar alarm canceled at 4 Willis Lane on Tuesday at 8:54 a.m. Officer reports pool company is working at the home. 

Contractor accidentally triggered burglar alarm at 20 Cortland Lane on Tuesday at 12:03 p.m. 


Caller from 44 Crescent Ave. reported a teenage boy tried to steal a bicycle from her neighbor’s yard on Tuesday at 8:33 a.m. Officer reports patient taken to Union Hospital in Lynn. No further details given.

Detail officer reported wires down at 275 Walnut St. on Tuesday at 1:42 p.m. The Peabody Municipal Light Plant and the Lynnfield Fire Department have been contacted. 

The Swampscott Police Department requested Lynnfield assist with having the operator of a motor vehicle with Massachusetts license plate 838MZ8 contact them. Officer reported there was no answer at 10 North Hill Drive and a note was left on Tuesday at 2:29 p.m.

Disabled auto reported at 606 Summer St. at 1 Colonial Road on Tuesday at 3:03 p.m. Officer reports operator is waiting for AAA tow truck.

Resident of 11 Moran Road called 911 on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. about erratic behavior from son. Officers talked with the party who willingly went to Union Hospital. 

Caller from 243 Summer St. reported a property dispute on Tuesday at 6:14 p.m. Officer dispatched to keep the peace and advised parties it was a civil matter. 

Report of an erratic driver and a youth in the road at the 129 rotary on Tuesday at 10:18 p.m. Officer could not locate vehicle or pedestrian. 

Medical Aid

Well-being check requested at 17 Moran Road on Tuesday at 8:14 a.m. Officer reported the resident left the home 10 minutes ago. 

A 911 call requested an ambulance on Tuesday at 8:31 p.m. at Sunrise Assisted Living at 55 Summer St. 911 call for a resident who fell and hit their head. Lynnfield Fire Department EMS and police dispatched. Patient taken to Union Hospital.



Shane A. Johnson, 39, of 862 Western Ave., Lynn, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation at 9:41 a.m. on Tuesday.


A caller reported that a U-Haul truck was on Humphrey Street and Glendale Road when it clipped a fire hydrant and popped his tire at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

A report of a motor vehicle crash with airbags deployed at Pleasant and Gerry streets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.


A caller reported a white Mercedes sedan with an older male in it, who appeared to be monitoring speed with a radar gun at Pond and Lime streets at 8:42 a.m. on Tuesday. They stated they felt it was suspicious. Responding officers reported the man was in fact hired by a company to conduct speed radar for a study.

A walk-in reported, at 2:54 p.m. on Tuesday, that there is a large shrub at Humphrey Street and Palmer Road that makes it difficult to make a turn on Humphrey Street.

A caller reported a car needed to be towed from Pleasant Street for the movie production. They said to bring it to the police station and Netflix would pay for the costs.

A caller reported at 4:34 p.m. on Tuesday that the Marblehead driving school has used her Batchelder Road driveway as a “turn around” for years. She stated she is concerned about the wearing of her driveway.

A caller reported a male walking down Blueberry Road and Peach Highlands shirtless, swearing and causing a disturbance at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday.



Shawn C. Spaneas, 26, of 50 Warren St., Apt. 510, was arrested following a raid on Tuesday at 4:50 a.m. and charged with possession of a firearm in a felony, carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of improper storage of a firearm without a permit, possession of fireworks, and possession to distribute Class B drug.


Report of a motor vehicle crash at 117 Lowell St. on Monday at 4:01 p.m. Officer checked the area, but it was gone upon arrival.

Caller reported a motor vehicle crash at Route 128 underpass at Lowell Street on Monday at 4:16 p.m. Officer checked the area, but it was gone upon arrival.

Two-car crash at 7 Eleven at 100 Lynn St. on Tuesday at 5:51 p.m.  Officer will document.

Motor vehicle crash reported at Walnut and Howley streets on Tuesday at 12:37 p.m. No injuries reported. The officer stated that the operators had exchanged their information and the accident was minor.

Animal Control 

Dog reported locked in a car that is not running and the windows are up at the Mexican Grill at 229 Andover St. on Tuesday at 1:25 p.m. Officer reports the owner is in the vehicle with the air conditioning on.

Report of a dog locked in a motor vehicle with Massachusetts license plate 73KN60 with windows cracked, but the dog is panting and foaming at the mouth on Tuesday at 10:35 a.m. Animal control officer is on scene and will take the dog from the car. Pet taken to Borash Animal Hospital. Officer left a message on the phone on the dog’s collar. 


Woman from 31 Union St., Apt 1 reports a suspicious note was left on her vehicle on Monday at 4:20 p.m. Officer reports the message was about ice in the area.

Disabled motor vehicle was reported at 233 Lowell St. on Monday at 4:31 p.m. Officer reports AAA en route with a 40-minute expected time of arrival. Vehicle is safely off to the side of the road and is not a hazard.

An officer was requested at 40 Lynn St. to preserve the peace while defendant in a restraining order gathers belongings after plaintiff granted permission on Monday at 6:13 p.m. Defendant gathered two gym bags of clothing. He also took his laptop, a thumbdrive and a box of golf balls. Officer reports items gathered without incident.

Summons delivered to a resident of 54 Northend St. on Monday at 6:57 p.m. 

Maple Street neighbors called on Monday at 7:16 p.m. about the well-being of an elderly neighbor who owns three dogs and they have not been seen for a while, nor has her trash been taken to the curb. Officer spoke with the neighbor and all is well with her and pets.

Report of a suspicious white man with gray hair, coral shirt who is repeatedly approaching children near 2 Spring Pond Road and 272 Lynn St. on Monday at 8:39 p.m. Officer checked two motor vehicles in the area that were parked near the water treatment plant. Officer spoke with a group of kids at the school who said that had seen the man in a floral shirt by the bridge. Officer checked all areas and the party was gone. 

Officer was flagged down by someone concerned about people living in a tent behind the William A. Welch Sr. Elementary School on Swampscott Street on Monday at 9:53 p.m. Officer checked the area and spoke with the party who said she will leave and make other arrangements. 

Resident at 11R North Central St. reports she found a bike in her yard a few days ago and does not know who it belongs to so she put it on the street and it is gone on Monday at 10:18 p.m. She later received a telephone call from her babysitter saying a drunk man showed up at the residence and is demanding his bike back. Caller requested an officer to check on their babysitter and her child. Officer spoke with sitter and checked the area but the man was gone.

Report from 26 Johnson Ave. of a suspicious man wearing an orange T-shirt and jeans walking with a flashlight looking down people’s driveways toward Maple Street on Monday at 9:42 p.m. Officer spoke with the man who said he was looking for his lost cat. 

Resident of 7200 Crane Brook Way reports a dispute in the parking lot between a man and a woman in the parking lot. The couple went into the apartment building. Caller did not leave her name on Monday at 10:39 p.m. Officer checked and all is in order. 

Caller reported a BMW illegally parked in a handicapped space at Shaw’s Supermarket on Andover Street on Tuesday at 9:37 a.m. The reporting party called back and said the operator had an HP placard and forgot to put it up.

Report of a water break on Aberdeen Avenue on Tuesday at 11:12 a.m. and the street is starting to flood. Public Works contacted. 



Cody William Smith, 23, of 812 Boston St. Apt. 2, Lynn, was arrested on warrant charges. 


A caller reported someone banging at her door at 1 Atkinson Drive at 3:18 a.m. Tuesday. 

A caller reported kids were throwing rocks off Route 1’s Main Street overpass at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. 

A caller on Thistle Road reported a basketball hoop blocking the road at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday. 

A report of an elderly woman driving on the wrong side of the road on Essex Street at 10:23 p.m. Tuesday. 

A caller reported two men creeping around in his yard at 39 Mountain Ave. at 10:48 p.m. Tuesday. 

A caller at Red Roof Inn reported finding a camera in her room that she believes the person who’s staying in the next room placed there at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday. 


A report of shoplifting from Walmart on Broadway at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A caller reported 300 pairs of underwear from Victoria’s Secret at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday. 

A caller from Saugus High School reported that sometime over the night, $2,000 worth of tools were stolen at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday.
