LYNN — Police are investigating two knife attacks that occurred at or near the Lynn Shelter.
A woman was found slashed in the face at the shelter on Washington Street and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A man was found stabbed nearby, in the area of Blake and Almont streets, and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly.
It’s unclear if the stabbings are related, but multiple calls for both incidents came in at about the same time, shortly before 9 p.m., Donnelly said.
Police are trying to determine if the victims are residents of the shelter and believe at least the woman was staying there. Both victims are uncooperative and it’s unclear what happened, Donnelly said.
There are no suspects and no arrests have been made.
