A report of an assault at 12:46 p.m. Saturday on Redstone Lane. A caller reported he had a dispute with a neighbor’s landscaper regarding him blowing leaves and grass onto his property. He said the landscaper shoved him down.
Complaints
A report of teens drinking in the middle of the street at 9:15 p.m. Friday at Green Street and Cloutmans Lane. An officer located the group and reported there was no drinking.
A report of an underage drinking party at 11:03 p.m. Friday on Manataug Trail. A neighbor reported she could see them and knows they are under 21. The group reportedly ran toward the beach and had some on the back porch.
A caller reported receiving a strange bill at 1:18 p.m. Saturday on Frost Lane. An officer reported the woman had purchased hearing aids in Peabody and the bill was for them.
A report of kids passed out in the yard at 8:22 p.m. Friday at Overlook and Puritan roads. A caller reported a car with kids inside was in the middle of the street when one kid got out and started urinating on the bushes of a house.
A report of a suspicious package at 12:22 a.m. Sunday on Pond Street. A caller reported he went on a walk and returned to find a brown box with the word “free” on it. He found it suspicious and wanted an officer to check on it. Police reported the package wasn’t suspicious.
Theft
A caller reported his brand new dinghy and 4 HP engine was stolen from the back of his boat at 11:27 a.m. Saturday at Salem Harbor. He said it was tied to his boat and was gone. The harbormaster reported it was not stolen but had broken loose and was tied up at the end of Driftwood Road. The caller was able to recover it.

Robert J. Petrelis, 38, of 22 Willowbrae Drive, was arrested and charged with Class A drug possession at 12:47 p.m. Friday.
