MARBLEHEAD — The annual Marblehead Festival of Arts Champagne Reception will be held on Sunday, June 30, 5 to 7 p.m., at Fort Sewall, at the end of Front Street in Marblehead. Enjoy food served under a tent, sip champagne while listening to live music by The Zacklys, and enjoy the views of Marblehead Harbor. The reception is also an enjoyable way to meet festival supporters.
Food establishments participating include The Little Store, Maria’s Gourmet, Fresca Pizza and Pasta, Village Market Marblehead, Starbucks, The Landing, La Sirena, Neck Run Café, Howling Wolf Express, Café Avellino, and Manhattan Sandwich Shop.
Attendees are encouraged to create and wear “Art Hats.” Prizes will be given for Most Elegant Hat, Most Jaunty Hat, Most Creative Hat.
The Champagne Reception is a major fundraiser for the Summer Arts Festival. Tickets are available, in advance, for $50 per person at Arnould Gallery and Framery (111 Washington St.), Shubie’s Marketplace (16 Atlantic Ave.) and Spirit of ’76 Bookstore (107 Pleasant St.). On the day of the reception, tickets are $55 per person at Fort Sewall.
Founded in 1962, the Marblehead Festival of Arts has become a unique forum for artistic expression in the vicinity of Marblehead Harbor. Held each year over the July 4 holiday, the festival hosts a wide range of visual art exhibits as well as other events featuring film, music, writing, boat building, and children’s activities. The program is designed to provide enjoyment for all ages. The Marblehead Festival of Arts is an all-volunteer organization that operates year-round and relies solely on donations to fund its operations.
