Lynn police seize vehicle from May 15 shooting

LYNN — Lynn Police seized a vehicle that was wanted in relation to a shooting in West Lynn two weeks ago.

Cruisers surrounded a male and a red Subaru Forester near Market Square early Friday afternoon. An officer spotted the vehicle and quickly identified it as the one related to the May 15 shooting, according to Lynn Capt. Mark O’Toole. The male was not arrested and the vehicle was seized for ballistic evidence.

“It’s still an ongoing investigation,” said Lynn Lt. Michael Kmiec.

The shooting, which occurred in the vicinity of Walnut and Cedar streets just before 6 p.m., involved people in two cars shooting at each other. There were no reported injuries.
