LYNN — A 19-year-old Boston woman was shot in the hand in a drive-by shooting following a verbal dispute on Warren Street early Sunday morning, police said.
Shortly before 1 a.m., Lynn Police responded to 26 Shepard St. on a report of a shooting. A preliminary investigation revealed several people had been involved in a verbal dispute in front of 4 Warren St., and at least two shots were fired from a maroon Toyota Highlander fleeing the scene, Lynn Police Lt. Glenn Dunnigan said.
The suspect was identified as a 20-year-old Hispanic man from Lynn. The victim was taken to Salem Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Dunnigan said.
A shell casing was recovered in front of 4 Warren St. and 26 Shepard St. was hit by gunfire, Dunnigan said.
