Marblehead Arts Association plans busy spring

MARBLEHEAD — An opening reception will be held for Marblehead Arts Association’s spring solo and group exhibits on Sunday, March 17, 2-4 p.m.

The exhibits will be presented at King Hooper Mansion, 8 Hooper St., from March 16 to April 28. Artists taking part include: Eleanor Fisher, “Celebration,” glass shard paintings; Amy Hourihan, “Cloud Atlas,” watercolors, encaustics and prints; Denise Sokolsky, “In Between,” multimedia painting and fiber; Lynne Schulte, “At Water’s Edge,” oil paintings; Patricia Dunbar, “Four Seasons,” watercolors; and MAA Classes Exhibit.

Gallery artist programs, free and open to all, include:

Interactive Demo w/Amy Hourihan: March 30, 10:30 a.m. to noon; Live painting with Lynne Schulte: April 6 and 13, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.; Gallery Talk with Pat Dunbar: April 6, 10:30 a.m. to noon; Interactive Demo and Fiber Art with Denise Sokolsky: April 7, 2-4 p.m.; Closing Reception with Amy Hourihan: April 25, 5-8 p.m.; Interactive Demo with Eleanor Fisher: April 28, 3-4:30 p.m.
