Arrests

Leonardo Aponte, 32, was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license at 11:29 p.m. Wednesday.

Juan Garcia, 26, of 12 Curwin Circle, was arrested and charged with two counts of failure to yield at an intersection, failure to stop/yield, failure to signal, failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, passing violation, operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and on warrants at 9:25 a.m. Thursday.

Edwin Morales, 46, of 16 Border St., was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday.

Caller reported a disabled truck on Walnut Street on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

Caller from Saugus requested a well-being check for the resident of 562 Salem St. on Wednesday at 6:46 p.m. Officer reports no one was at home.

Report of a suspicious person walking on the ramp from Route 128 North at 100 Walnut and 425 Market streets on Thursday at 2:21 a.m. Officer was unable to locate the person.

Medical Aid

Ambulance requested at 64 Highland Ave. on Wednesday at 1:55 p.m. Officer reports patient taken to Beverly Hospital.

Medical aid requested at 8 Olde Towne Road on Thursday at 6:40 a.m. Patient taken to the hospital.

Assist resident requested at 18 Trickett Road for a person who fell on Thursday at 6:26 a.m. Officer reports no injuries.

Accident

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 3:08 p.m. on Wednesday.

Complaints

A caller reported a bus was stuck at Front and Franklin streets at 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported a crossing guard got his motor vehicle stuck at Smith and Pleasant streets at 8:31 a.m. on Wednesday. He was told officers would not be able to help push him out. He contacted the highway department for help.

A caller reported a car was partially blocking her driveway on Humphrey Street at 9:43 a.m. on Wednesday. She stated she thought she would damage it if she tried to get by. Responding officers reported the driveway was barely blocked.

A walk-in reported bank fraud at 10:32 a.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported a kid was in a Pleasant Street store dancing around at 10:38 a.m. on Wednesday. They stated the kid was trying to ask people to buy cigars.

A caller reported at 11:36 a.m. on Wednesday that she looked at the messages on her 12-year-old’s iPad and was concerned. She asked officers to look up a number and they could not identify it.

A caller reported a grandparent scam at 4:33 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported he received a company email about looking for a payment company party at 7:03 p.m. on Wednesday. He stated he realized once he purchased $5,000 in gift cards that it was a scam.

PEABODY

Summons

Nathaniel Ponte, 18, of 1100 Salem St., Apt. 6, was summoned on Tuesday at 6:55 p.m. for threatening to commit a crime after a caller reported a classmate was threatening him over Snapchat with a picture of guns.

Joel Salvatierra-Rosales, 29, of 16 Mount Hood Trail, Apt. 5, Lynn, was summoned on Wednesday at 9:09 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a license following a motor vehicle stop at 117 Lynnfield St.

Accidents

A two-car motor vehicle crash reported at 16 Lynnfield St. on Tuesday at 3:38 p.m. Officer reports operator of the second vehicle was taken to Beverly Hospital.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 88 Washington St. at 1 Goldthwaite Place on Wednesday at 8:26 a.m. The officer said the operators had already exchanged their information prior to his arrival.

Report of a motor vehicle accident at Bishop Fenwick at 99 Margin St. on Wednesday at 2:26 p.m. The officer reports that the accident was minor and the operators had already exchanged their information.

Complaints

Caller reports motor vehicle with Connecticut plates, possibly AR04939, occupied by two young females pulled into the driveway of an elderly female’s residence on MacArthur Circle on Tuesday at 2:50 p.m. Officer reports all checked out OK, they were house cleaners.

Resident of 5 Andover Drive reports she is being threatened following a disagreement over $47 that is owed on Tuesday at 3:20 p.m. She planned to pay it back soon. Officer advised this is a civil matter.

Peabody Library at 82 Main St. called to report a teen patron refuses to leave. Teen is tall with dark hair wearing a pink sweatshirt and was last seen on the third floor on Tuesday at 4:03 p.m. Officer issued a no trespassing notice.

Caller reported breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Tuesday at 5:23 p.m. and a bag of tools was stolen from his van at 51 Holten St. Officer will document.

Man came into the station on Tuesday at 5:33 p.m. to report that the mother of his child has been leaving threatening voicemails. Reporting party had his sick son with him, so he told officer he will drop off his son, email the voice messages and come back to the station to make an official statement.

Walk-in fraud report from a person who wanted to make the police aware of an email gift card scam on Tuesday at 8:02 p.m. Officer will document the incident.

Caller from the Bank of America ATM at 300 Andover St. reports hearing a gunshot coming from the direction of Kappy’s on Tuesday at 9:56 p.m.

Intoxicated person reported by Lahey Medical Center at 1 Essex Center on Tuesday at 11:41 p.m.

Son requesting officer check on mother who has a disabled motor vehicle at CVS in Summit Street Plaza at 145 Summit St. on Wednesday at 2:57 a.m.  Officer checked on the woman and all is OK.

Breaking and entering in a motor vehicle on Wednesday at 7:56 a.m. at 8 Spruce Way. Officer reports $50 and a bank passbook was stolen.

Report of a disabled motor vehicle on Forest Street on Wednesday at 9:34 a.m. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate vehicle.

Officer will be checking on possible junk motor vehicles at 5 Rawding Road on Wednesday at 11:13 a.m. Officer issued 15-day notice of removal on both.

Mother called from 64 Foster St., Apt. 102 on Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. and wants her son to leave. Police were at that location on Tuesday night and the boy was intoxicated. Officer requested a taxi to take him to Salem. He left without incident.

Road rage incident reported at St. Ann’s Church at 140 Lynn St. on Wednesday at 2:37 p.m. with people arguing outside the vehicles. Officer said that the matter was resolved and both operators shook hands.

Guilherme Santos, 35, of 21 Essex St., was arrested on warrant charges.

Kerry A. O’Brien, 44, of 102 Central St. Apt. 4B, was arrested on warrant charges.

Brendan John Kennedy, 34, of 529 Lincoln Ave., was arrested and charged with refusing to provide a DNA database sample.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 8 Woodbury Ave. at 7:09 a.m. Wednesday.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 24 Winter St. at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday; at 7-Eleven at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday; on Main Street at 9:23 p.m. Wednesday.

Complaints

A report of a man acting erratically at the Red Roof Inn at 3:49 a.m. Wednesday.

A caller reported a dog has been locked in a car at Irontown Diner for two hours at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday. Police report the dog is not in distress and was in the car for 45 minutes.

A resident walked into the police station to report that someone has been using her credit card information to buy items on Amazon at 1:08 p.m. Wednesday.

A report of road rage at 110 Frank Bennett Highway at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Theft

A report of shoplifting from Bath and Body Works at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, a woman in her 20s, reportedly stole 21 candles with a value of $514.50.

SWAMPSCOTT

Accident

A caller reported a motor vehicle crash at Blaney and Humphrey streets at 4:38 p.m. on Wednesday.

Complaints
