LYNN — The manhunt of a suspect reportedly involved in a Monday night killing in Randolph ended in Lynn on Tuesday.
Justin Gaston, 32, of Randolph and Brockton, was arrested shortly before 4:30 p.m. on a Quincy District Court warrant for the shooting death of Haki Sanders, according to a press release from the office of Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. Gaston was taken into custody at 7 Richards St. without incident by State Police, Lynn Police, and Randolph Police.
“This was a coordinated effort, leading to his capture without incident,” Morrissey said in the press release. “Chief William Pace and the Randolph Police, the State Police detectives assigned to the Norfolk DA’s Office, the State Police STOP Team and others worked together to bring this search to a safe conclusion.”
According to David Procopio, spokesmen for the State Police, the department learned that Gaston was hiding out at the Lynn residence. He was apprehended 20 hours after he allegedly shot and killed Sanders, according to the Norfolk DA’s office.
Gaston is expected to be arraigned at Quincy District Court on Wednesday.
