Accidents
A report of a minor motor vehicle crash on Atlantic Avenue at 9:18 a.m. on Tuesday; on Mugford Street at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Complaints
A caller reported her neighbor’s back door on Lattimer Street was open for more than an hour at 8:01 a.m. on Tuesday. She stated she was concerned someone was inside the house as the neighbor was not home. Responding officers contacted the homeowner and everything was clear.
A caller reported there was a kid on a bike screaming at the top of his lungs on West Shore Drive at 8:32 a.m. on Tuesday. They stated the kid was yelling that he was “going to kill himself.” Responding officers spoke with the kid who stated he was upset on the phone with his girlfriend but denied saying he wanted to hurt himself.
An employee from the architect office on Pleasant Street called to report on behalf of a client. They stated the client got into some sort of dispute with a contractor over a parking space.
A caller reported a scam involving Craigslist at 4:19 p.m. on Tuesday.
A caller reported a stolen Amazon package on West Shore Drive at 5:32 p.m. on Tuesday.
A caller reported he believed someone attempted to get into his Village Street home at 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday. He stated he heard the door handle “jiggle” and someone attempted to open it. He stated he pushed the door shut and a male outside the door said “Oh, I was just looking for wifi,” and left abruptly.
A caller reported he heard a noise at the front door of his Hawthorne Road home at 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday. He stated at first he thought it was the wind but then he realized someone was at the door, an older, homeless looking male. A second caller reported seeing the same man a few minutes later. The unidentified 52-year-old male was taken into protective custody by police.
PEABODY
Arrest
Jose A. Lantigua, 25, of 102 Main St., Apt. 3, was arrested on Tuesday at 5:04 a.m. and charged with malicious destruction of property over $1,200 and breaking and entering. The arrest came following a caller who said a former roommate, who had been evicted, broke down the door and refused to leave.
Accidents
Motor vehicle crash without injury was reported on Tuesday at 9:02 a.m. at 56 Washington and 5 Aborn streets. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicles involved in the crash.
Animal Control
Caller reported a dog at 16 Elmwood Circle barks all night and morning on Monday at 3:20 p.m. The animal control officer sent a complaint to Stephen McCarthy. The dog, Leia, is licensed and vaccinated against rabies.
Animal control officer sent a complaint to Janelle Carabello, of 29 Livingstone Drive, on Monday at 3:43 p.m. for leaving her dog, Nala, a Lab mix, on the property and chasing another dog. A copy of the leash law was included.
Dog found at 14 Fairview Ave. on Tuesday at 9:09 a.m. Officer reports the dog belonged at that address and the owner has possession.

A caller reported a tree fell on his house at 10 Elmwood Circle on Monday at 2:36 p.m. Officer reports the tree that struck the home appears to be on city property. The Department of Public Works was contacted.
Report of a tree down on Benevento Circle on Monday at 3:22 p.m. Officer reports the tree was off to the side of the road and the Department of Public Works was contacted.
Caller reported a piece of wood came off the house across the street from the Luso American Credit Union at 37 Tremont St. on Monday at 3:55 p.m.
Report of a pine tree fell and hit the fence at 13 Veterans Memorial Drive on Monday at 4:01 p.m. Caller said no one was injured, the tree missed the streets, house, and vehicles.
Caller from 45 Warren St., Apt 1, reported $80 was stolen from his Amazon account on Monday at 5:10 p.m. Officer reports he was told to file a claim and get reimbursed by his bank.
Tenant from 9 North Central St., Apt. 3, called on Monday at 5:23 p.m. to say she believes the landlord changed the lock to her apartment. Officer arrived and said her key opened the door. All clear.
Manager at Stonewood Tavern at 139 Lynnfield St., Apt. 200 reported a woman refused to leave the restaurant on Monday at 6:38 p.m. Officer reports a taxi was called and will be there in 20 minutes. Taxi arrived.
Caller from 6 Elaine Ave. at 2 Longwood Ave. reported a suspicious man with a light on his head and a box in his hand on Monday at 6:51 p.m. Officer reported the area was checked and man could not be found.
Tree branch down at 100 Russell St. on Monday at 7:25 p.m. Department of Public Works was contacted. Officer was able to move the branch off the road.
Report of a motor vehicle break in at the YMCA at 259 Lynnfield St. on Monday at 9:16 p.m. Officer reports that a credit card was stolen and used at The Apple Store at MarketStreet but was declined at Best Buy in Saugus. Officer will follow up and notify the Criminal Investigation Division to identify the suspect.
Officer reports street and one-way signs fell during the storm on Tuesday at 9:02 a.m. on Principal’s Way. The Department of Public Works was contacted to collect the signs.
Caller reports a man in a white pickup truck was working on the power lines at 34 Patricia Road on Tuesday at 10:12 a.m. but the truck lacked any identification on it. Officer reports no one was with the vehicle but it appears to be a contractor working in the area.
Seagrilz at 203 Newbury St. reported a past breaking and entering on Tuesday at 10:42 a.m. but the security camera is not working, no damage, nothing stolen. Officer will document.

Marlene Rodriguez, 23, of 48 Hardwood St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, uninsured motor vehicle, and warrant charges.

Theft
Police were dispatched to 11 Crescent St. at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a breaking and entering in which $6,500 was stolen from the home.
