A caregiver for a resident on Cliff Street called at 11:33 a.m. on Wednesday to report a scam phone call. When they answered, someone on the other line said, “Hello, Grandma,” and that is when they knew it was a scam.

Animal Control
Report of “Ed,” a turkey, causing a traffic hazard in the middle of Main Street on Tuesday at 4:54 p.m. People are running in and out of traffic trying to chase it. Officer reports Ed is sitting atop a fence at Main and Pierpont streets.
On Wednesday at 11:44 a.m., the Massachusetts Environmental Police were on Main Street trying to contain Ed and requested assistance from the Peabody Police Department. It turns out Ed is Edna and she was relocated to New Hampshire.
