James Kennedy, 57, of 2 Rogers Ave., was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Justin Levesque, of 24 Woodman St., was arrested on warrant charges of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and threat to commit crime at 7:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Kenneth Liston was arrested on warrant charges of violation of an abuse prevention order and assault and battery on a public employee at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday.

Carlos Lopez, 30, of 17 Highland Ave., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery with a restraining order in effect at 11:11 p.m. Wednesday.

Calixto Perez, 29, of 22 Park St., was arrested and charged with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, trespassing and on a warrant charge of miscellaneous municipal ordinance violation at 8:29 p.m. Wednesday.

Jordan Pichardo-Sanchez, 29, of 172 Washington St., was arrested on warrant charges of evading taxi fare, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, OUI liquor, use of a motor vehicle without authority, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, OUI liquor with serious injury, marked lanes violation and speeding at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday.

Onu Shaibu, 35, of 10 Houghton St., was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday.

Burglar alarm canceled by the alarm company at 4 Willis Lane on Wednesday at 8:47 a.m.

Accidental alarm reported by the alarm company at 40 Island Road on Wednesday at 11:26 a.m.

Entry and exit burglar alarm sounded at 42 Stillman Road on Wednesday at 5:51 p.m. Officer reports all is secure.

Burglar alarm sounded at the main entry door at Lynnfield High School at 275 Essex St. on Wednesday at 8:02 p.m. Officer reports all appears to be in order.


Caller reported a suspicious person at 29 Doncaster Circle on Wednesday at 11:25 a.m. Officer reports all is OK.

Officer wanted at 9 Apple Hill Lane on Wednesday at 12:29 p.m. Report filed.

Property check requested at Jordan Park at Wildwood Drive on Wednesday at 2:31 p.m.  

Report of a large unknown silver sedan parked on Kings Road on Wednesday at 7:14 p.m. Officer reports the vehicle is a Lyft, with a sign visible on the windshield, waiting for customer.

Salem Police Department requested notification be given to Joseph Bates at 48 Pillings Pond Road about property damage to the caller’s building in Salem on Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. Officer reports message delivered.



A report of a motor vehicle crash involving a parked car on Smith Street at 1:12 p.m. on Wednesday.


A caller reported at 11:16 a.m. on Wednesday that they received several IRS calls. They stated they knew it was a scam and will check their credit accounts.

A caregiver for a resident on Cliff Street called at 11:33 a.m. on Wednesday to report a scam phone call. When they answered, someone on the other line said, “Hello, Grandma,” and that is when they knew it was a scam.

A walk-in reported a scam at 12:03 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported they were approached by a woman on Pleasant Street who showed a note about being “an accomplice to murder” at 6:17 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported an inside odor of gas on Gilbert Heights Road at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday. Responding officers stated the odor was from a skunk.



Carlos A. Delarosa-Brito, 46, of 180 Ashburnham St., Fitchburg, was summoned on Tuesday at 8:46 p.m. following a parking complaint at 14 Jacobs St. and charged with the unlicensed operation of an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. Officer reports vehicle will be towed by Phil’s Towing.


A report of a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday at 11:37 a.m. at Luso American Credit Union at 37 Tremont St. Officer reports no tow needed, no injuries and assisted with paperwork exchange.


Report of a fire alarm sounding at 1 King St. on Tuesday at 9:34 p.m. for smoke showing outside. Officer reports the smoke is steam from a dryer vent.

Animal Control

Report of “Ed,” a turkey, causing a traffic hazard in the middle of Main Street on Tuesday at 4:54 p.m. People are running in and out of traffic trying to chase it. Officer reports Ed is sitting atop a fence at Main and Pierpont streets.

On Wednesday at 11:44 a.m., the Massachusetts Environmental Police were on Main Street trying to contain Ed and requested assistance from the Peabody Police Department. It turns out Ed is Edna and she was relocated to New Hampshire.


Caller from 9 Dane St., Apt. 1 reports she gave her personal information to a scammer over the telephone on Tuesday at 3:58 p.m. Officer advised her to cancel her credit cards and contact the Social Security Administration.

A resident of the Mobile Estates at 286 Newbury St., Apt. 28 reported her neighbor was banging at her door on Tuesday at 10:29 p.m. Officer reports there was a miscommunication is all is OK.

Road rage incident reported at the Container Store at 210 Andover St. on Tuesday at 11:12 p.m. Officer reports incident happened in Danvers and suspect drove off.

Caller from 14 Blueberry Way reports her husband is harassing her for money for crack on Wednesday at 12:43 a.m. Officer reports the man left the home prior to police arrival and police were unable to locate him. At 1:11 a.m. police located him and will check on his well-being. The reporting party said he can stay in the house for the night. Officer will document.

Officer reported a disabled motor vehicle at Route 128 South near the jughandle on Newbury Street on Wednesday at 6:51 a.m. and requests a tow. Officer reports vehicle was moved and tow canceled.

Well-being check requested for a man in a vehicle parked at The Ultimate at 130 Newbury St. on Wednesday at 9:53 a.m. Officer reports the man was napping on his break.

Possible drug activity reported on Penny Lane on Wednesday at 10:39 a.m. Officer reports all is OK.

An employee of Dunkin’ Donuts on Washington Street reported a woman with curly brown hair, 5 feet tall and wearing a gray-and-white jacket is walking down Washington Street toward Foster Street talking loudly to herself on Wednesday at 12:11 p.m. Officer reports the woman was gone upon arrival of police.

Medical Aid

Friends of a resident of Northshore Community Life Center at 75 Central St., Apt. 312 requested a well-being check Tuesday at 9:34 p.m. because the friend was not feeling well and not answering her door. Officer reports woman answered the door but refused assistance.    

Call about a resident who fell and suffered a head injury at 101 Brooksby Village Drive, Apt. 412 on Wednesday at 10:20 a.m. Patient taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Medical emergency reported on Wednesday at 10:22 a.m. at Canterbury Court at 201 Brooksby Village Drive, Apt. 425 for a person with blood pressure issues. Police en route.

Medical assistance requested by a friend of a resident on Bresnahan Street on Tuesday at 11:37 p.m. Patient taken to the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.



Tomaz Aleckssandro Pereira, 34, of 1073 Main St., Apt. G7, Woburn, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

A caller reported a skunk was in her driveway at 1 A St. at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday. Police report they captured the sick animal.
