A caller reported her mother drives a bus and was not able to fit through Broughton Road and Humphrey Street because of the parked cars at 10:53 a.m. on Thursday. Responding officers contacted the vehicle owners to get the cars moved.
A caller reported getting a call from someone named Mark Rockwell at 11:04 a.m. on Thursday. He stated “Rockwell” told him that his grandson was in an accident while texting and would need $8,000 or more to clear it up. He stated he asked which grandson was involved and “Rockwell” said Michael, but the caller does not have a grandson with that name.
A caller reported at 12:39 p.m. on Thursday that a neighbor told them there was an “official-looking person” in a safety vest taking photos of her house on Laurel Street. She stated she has a light pole in front of her house and there were Electric Light trucks there and she would call that department to ask if it was them.
A caller reported at 1:39 p.m. on Thursday that his boat was missing from where it was dropped off on Maverick Street on Oct. 10, 2018.
A walk-in reported at 2:03 p.m. on Thursday that he’s been getting calls from someone claiming to be from the Social Security office. Responding officer showed him how to block the calls.
A caller reported finding a needle on the beach on Ocean Avenue at 4:28 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers disposed of it.
A caller reported they were concerned about a child left unattended in a motor vehicle that was running at Commercial Street and Atlantic Avenue at 5:07 p.m. on Thursday. They stated the child was alone in the car seat for 20 minutes. Responding officers found the mother who was in the store getting a card. The child is 9 years old and was reported as fine.

Marcelo Juarez, 37, of 41 Hanover St., Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested and charged with the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and failure to stop for police after police received a report of an erratic motor vehicle operator on Wednesday at 10:14 p.m. at 91 Lynn St. and 2 County St.

Two-car crash reported on Thursday at 4:56 a.m. at the Tannery Apartments at 50 Warren St. Officer reports no injuries, one vehicle towed by Mallia’s Tow. Department of Public Works notified of the slick road conditions, and responded with a salt/sanding truck.
Caller reported a hit and run crash at 2 Winona St. at 132 Newbury St. on Thursday at 7:13 a.m. but refused to give any information other than it was a black Hyundai and a partial plate number. Reporting party refused to pull over at the scene, stated she was going to the Peabody Police Department. Upon arrival at the station, the party said the suspect plate was no. 8BNV70. Officer reports that plate is registered to a gray Ford F-150 in Hyannis. Reporting party also said the suspect vehicle had traveled Lowell Street towards downtown, and had turned at an unknown side street. Officer will document.

Caller left voicemail for the Animal Control officer complaining about a barking dog at 25 Trask Road on Thursday at 9:03 a.m. Officer reports Chance, a German shepherd, is licensed and vaccinated against rabies and was not barking when she arrived on scene.
Caller from 202 Washington St., Apt. H1R, who had previously contact the Animal Control officer about turning in her late sister’s cat, left a voicemail on Thursday at 12:40 p.m. saying she is now considering keeping her sister’s cat. On callback, she was advised to discuss her decision with the rescue person who reached out to her.

Woman from 15 State St. reported a man has been stalking and harassing her on Wednesday at 5:56 p.m. She also said her back door to her house was kicked in. She is unsure who did it, but thinks it might be the man stalking her. Criminal Investigation Department has been notified.

A report of a motor vehicle parked illegally at 8:09 a.m. on Thursday at 363 Lowell St. and 2 Prospect St. Sergeant spoke with the resident and there seems to be some confusion over the city ordinance. Sergeant will look into it and get back to the resident.
Employee from 7-Eleven at 115 Main St. called to say a customer is stealing from the store on Thursday at 8:54 a.m. The officer said the customer left the store without incident. The store issued a notice to keep her from the store.
Report of large potholes between Tracey and Fulton streets on Thursday at 9:49 a.m. The Department of Public Works was notified by telephone.
