School closings and parking bans for Feb. 12

Here’s a running tally of cancellations, postponements and delays from around the Itemlive.com coverage area, which includes Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Nahant, Peabody, Revere, Saugus, and Swampscott.

 

School closings

  • Lynn schools cancelled all afternoon and evening activities.
  • KIPP Academy in Lynn had early dismissal on Tuesday.
  • Marblehead schools cancelled afternoon and evening activities, freshman and JV athletic events are rescheduled, but the YMCA will remain open.
  • Peabody schools had early dismissal and cancelled afternoon and evening activities.
  • Revere schools cancelled all afternoon and evening activities but AlphaBEST will remain open.
  • Swampscott schools cancelled all afternoon and evening activities.
  • Saugus High School cancelled all afternoon and evening activities
  • St. Mary’s Lynn cancelled all afternoon and evening activities and their accepted Spartan night has been rescheduled to Feb. 25.
  • Northeast Metro Tech had early dismissal and cancelled all afternoon and evening activities.
  • Bunker Hill Community College will close at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday with no afternoon or evening activities.
  • Endicott College closes at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
  • North Shore Community College closes at 2 p.m. on Tuesday with no afternoon or evening events.
  • Salem State University had early dismissal and cancelled afternoon and evening activities.

Parking Bans

  • Lynn ban begins at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and the roads will be pretreated at noon.
  • Peabody ban begins at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
  • Swampscott ban begins at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
