Nelson Carias Valera, 20, of 14 Witt St., was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation at 3:32 p.m. on Thursday.

Philip Consolo, 33, of 169 Rice Ave., Revere, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation and assault and battery at 5:01 p.m. on Thursday.

Kevin Sanchez, 25, of 846 Broadway, Saugus, was arrested and charged with trafficking more than 18 grams of cocaine and possession to distribute a class drug at 6:04 a.m. on Friday.

Kara Secher, 38, of 11 Lagrange Terrace, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise at 1:06 p.m. on Thursday.

Caller from 871 Salem St. reported a friend borrowed a car on Thursday at 2:48 p.m. but hasn’t returned it. Officer reports he spoke with resident.

Report of an electrical wire down from 8 New Meadow Road on Thursday at 3:56 p.m. Call handled by the Lynnfield Fire Department.

Road rage incident reported on Upton Lane on Thursday at 7:02 p.m. Caller said threats were made and the party fled on Route 1 South. Officer checked the area but was unable to find the vehicle.

Medical Aid

Request for an ambulance at 513 Walnut St. on Thursday at 8:52 a.m. Patient taken to the hospital.

Medical aid requested at 6 Barnsley Road on Thursday at 5:46 p.m. for a 4-year-old boy with a partial airway obstruction. Patient taken to the hospital.



A walk-in reported at 12:07 p.m. on Thursday that she got a call telling her that her grandson was in trouble and needed money. She stated she was told to call 518-363-2943 and ask for public defender John Williams in Philadelphia. She stated she then called her grandson, who was at work in Boston.

A caller reported at 1:37 p.m. on Thursday that she was scammed out of at least $1,300 from her Santander bank account by someone in Kuwait.

A walk-in reported a road rage incident at 4:51 p.m. on Thursday. He stated he was able to get the license plate of the motor vehicle, which followed him to the police parking lot.



Cynthia M. Hayes, 60, of 190 North Shore Road, Apt. 215, Revere, was summoned for operating under the influence of alcohol, third offense, and marked lanes violation following a crash into a pole at 272 Washington St. and 3 Colfax St. on Wednesday at 9:15 p.m.


Minor motor vehicle crash reported with no injuries on Wednesday at 6:07 p.m. at Route 128 North and Route 95 North. Call transferred to the Massachusetts State Police.

Truck driver reported a motor vehicle crash at 19 Centennial Drive on Wednesday at 6:08 p.m. Officer reported there were no injuries, no tows needed, and assisted with paperwork exchange.

Man reported a past hit and run crash on Wednesday at 8 p.m. that occurred on Tuesday in the Su Chang’s parking lot. Officer will document and contact the restaurant for possible video footage.

Hit and run crash reported at Centennial Drive on Thursday at 10:11 a.m. Caller said a gray Toyota Tundra rear-ended him and it was a possible road rage incident.

Caller reported he was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Thursday at 1:17 p.m. at 308 Lowell St. and 500 Northshore Road. Officer assisted with paperwork exchange.


Caller from Stop & Shop Supermarket at 19 Howley St. reports his tires were slashed while he was in the store on Wednesday at 4:04 p.m. Officer reports the incident was captured on store video at 3:42 p.m. Suspect was a man in a white van. Reporting party said he had words with a similarly described man on Washington Street earlier, but was unable to identify him. Officer will document.

Caller from 28 Granite St. reported people are smoking marijuana inside the building on Wednesday. Officers report the odor was a pizza.

Front desk employee of Homewood Suites at 57 Newbury St. reports an intoxicated man damaging property in Room 204 on Wednesday at 11:14 p.m. Officer reports person left without incident and the hotel will charge the cost to fix the room to the credit card on file. Employee called back on Thursday at 12:30 a.m. to say the man has not left yet and keeps trying to get back inside. Officer reports the matter was a misunderstanding and the man is waiting for a ride.

Atlantic Ambulance Service reported a disabled motor vehicle blocking traffic on Thursday at 2:11 p.m. in front of Souza Cleaning at 14 Andover St., Apt. 1. Officer reported Phil’s Towing is en route.

A caller on Sapphire Road reported her neighbor saw someone on her property at 6:54 p.m. Wednesday.

A caller on Essex Street reported when she arrived home there was a man in her backyard wearing a black long coat, a hat, and carrying a helmet at 7:18 p.m. Wednesday.

A report of a man who seemed lost and disoriented standing on an island near Walnut and Central streets at 9:19 p.m. Wednesday.

A report of a large pothole forming on Essex Street near Eustis Street at 7:37 a.m. Thursday.

A report of two parties flashing a badge and trying to pull over a car on Lincoln Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Police report speaking to an off-duty Lynn Police officer who said the driver was operating her vehicle erratically and he merely showed his badge to have her operate her vehicle in a safer manner. Lynn Police was notified.

A 41 Newhall Ave. resident reported someone left dog feces on her door at 3:37 p.m. Thursday.

A caller reported a woman wearing all black was trying to cross the median on Route 1 South with a bald man wearing a black hoodie, who was trying to hold her back at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

A report of a stolen motor vehicle pinged by OnStar on Essex Street at 4:14 p.m. Thursday.

A resident on Walden Pond Avenue said she witnessed three men walk into the reservoir with three dogs at 10:45 a.m. Thursday and walk out at 2:02 p.m. Thursday, but one of the dogs was missing and the man that had been walking that specific dog had changed his clothing. She reported she checked the reservoir for any sign of the dog but could not locate it.
