LYNN — A 25-year-old Lynn man was shot in the buttocks on Baker Street late Thursday afternoon.
Lynn Police, Lynn Fire and Atlantic Ambulance crews responded to the scene on a report of a shooting around 3:31 p.m., according to Lt. Dave Brown of the Lynn Police. Officers found the shooting victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his buttocks.
First responders administered medical attention before taking him to Salem Hospital, according to Brown and Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec. Initial reports indicated there was a disturbance before the shooting, said Brown.
Two shell casings were seen on the ground as well as a bullet hole that went through a vehicle parked on Baker Street.
The victim’s injuries are reported as non-life threatening and the incident is under investigation with the police department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
