A pretrial conference is scheduled for Feb. 12 in the case of Andrew MacCormack, who is accused of stabbing and beating his wife to death in September of 2017, with the trial scheduled to begin later this year.
The body of Vanessa Masucci MacCormack was found in the couple’s Revere home Sept. 23, 2017. Police said that Andrew MacCormack murdered his wife, tried to clean up the scene, and then, with his then-2-year-old daughter in tow, did some errands and made a drug deal before returning home. By then, police said, he was on the phone with his mother-in-law Karen, when he went inside their home to report her dead.
Police arrested him several days later, and he was indicted on Oct. 31, 2017.
Vanessa Masucci MacCormack, who grew up in Lynn and was a St. Mary’s graduate, taught second grade at the Connery School in Lynn.
The trial is slated to begin Oct. 9, according to Jake Wark of the Suffolk County district attorney’s office.
