REVERE — Police are investigating after the body of a man in his 30s was found beneath the Route 1 overpass on Saturday evening.
The man was found dead near what authorities believe was a makeshift living space with blankets, clothes and other items in the area of Copeland Circle, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.
A preliminary examination of the body did not reveal signs of physical trauma, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of the man’s death, authorities said.
Revere Police, Fire and the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit responded after receiving a 911 call from a driver at approximately 4 p.m.
The man has not been identified.
