Complaints
A caller reported a suspicious male near Harris and Mugford streets at 8:28 a.m. on Thursday. The caller stated the male walked toward his girlfriend in a staggering manner and had what looked like a meter-reading device in his hand. Responding officers confirmed the male was, in fact, reading the meters.
A National Grid employee walked in to the police station at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday to report that Pond Street Motors got scammed out of $1,000 by someone claiming to be National Grid and stating their service was going to be turned off if they didn’t settle their bill. He stated he wanted the department to spread the word that National Grid gets paid by cash, check, or credit cards, not Green Dot cards.
A walk-in reported their Tucker Street neighbor has been utilizing a clearly marked one-way street by driving it up the wrong way in order to park his car for the past two weeks. Officers advised the wrong-way driver of the parking complaints.
A walk-in reported at 2:14 p.m. on Thursday that they have received two calls from someone claiming to be from National Grid Electric.
A caller reported kids congregating in the bottom lot near Stramski Way at 8:16 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers found it to be all quiet upon their arrival.
A juvenile walked into the police station 12:12 a.m. on Friday and reported that he was kicked out of the house by his parents and was looking for advice. Officers contacted his father who came to pick him up.
