Man arrested in connection with shooting, stabbing in Revere

REVERE — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an early Saturday morning shooting and stabbing that left two men seriously injured.

Hector Emilio Hernandez was charged with attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm and is expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on Monday, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.

Revere Police responded to 16 Pleasant St. shortly before 2 a.m. and found a man shot and another man stabbed.

A 27-year-old Chelsea man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and a 23-year-old Chelsea man was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with several stab wounds, prosecutors said.

The relationship between the people involved and the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
