BOSTON — A 24-year-old Lynn man has been arrested in connection with a downtown stabbing in Chinatown on Saturday night.
Valenz Joisil was charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned at Boston Municipal Court at an undisclosed date.
Shortly before 9 p.m., police found a man in his late 20s suffering from stab wounds in the area of 660 Washington St. The victim was uncooperative with police but later went to a nearby hospital for treatment for several non-life-threatening stab wounds, Boston Police said.
Following an investigation, police identified Joisil as a suspect and found him at an area hospital where he had sought treatment for a minor laceration sustained during the incident. While placing him in custody, police found and seized a knife that was inside his coat.
