A child in Lynn is asking for help for his family this Christmas.
An anonymous child wrote a letter to Item Santa, asking for gifts for himself and his younger brothers because his family is struggling financially.
“My parents are poor this year, so can you get us some presents?” he wrote in his letter in large, scratchy letters. The bottom of the letter is illustrated with child-like sketches of a Christmas tree with three packages beneath it.
In a cartoon-like bubble with pointed edges, the child wrote the world help.
“I have two siblings,” he wrote. “I would really appreciate it if you got us some presents.”
The child’s openness to ask for help and talk about his family being poor is a sign of how real the situation is for the family.
